Panasnye Hari Ini

Topik tadek kaitan.

Few things so buat topic highlighted sket okeh supaya tak termangu-mangu tengok tadek continuation.

Puasa

Esok Puasa! Does this mean berat aku akan berturun? I hope so. MC di rumah selama 2 minggu, kerja duduk makan je. Nanti kebaya dah tak muat. I didn't make any baju raya this raya, because I thought my berat akan naik because I was pregnant so its too late to make any now. But I did manage to tempah a new kebaya before getting pregnant and I havent wear it yet.

Oh before I forgot. Selamat berpuasa untuk semua. Rajin-rajin la sahur. Mintak maaf any salah silap as I can be a bitch and really irritating at times and I will try to be a little less grudging and bitchy and annoying, k.

Argh. Tahun ni aku macam kena bangun sahur sebab sudah berlaki. Gah! I don't usually sahur. I just drink some plain water and gone back to bed.

Nerdishly Bookish

My husband bought me some books. He dragged me to Popular at Ampang Point because he was searching for some nonsensical non-books thing to buy. Wrong move on him. Because never ever brought me to a bookshop without expecting me getting out without a book in hand. Skali kali ni 3 books in hand. 1 book I bayar, 2 books die bayar. Hehehe. (Duit dalam dompet tak cukup la) Takpe. I janji I beli the next Fables ok. (He is now super hooked on Fables. Told ya it was good)

I told my husband I would be loitering around the book section and walked into the children/classic area and immediately drawn to this and was really excited. I was looking high and low for Tales of the Arabian Nights with illustration and found one, though the illustrations are black and white. Though it would not compete with a book I had seen in my childhood where the Tales of The Arabian Night books is a big glossy hard cover book with beautifully vibrant colorful illustrations depicting the stories. Tunggu la nantiiii kaloo aku jumpaaa aku beli jugaaak. This book is RM13.90. (Hehe... yang ini aku bayar).

Then I my eyes was hooked to this book.

I was attracted at the synopsis at the back. Something like

"A beautiful Lady refused to marry a Lord. So her father, angry, locked her in the Tower with her handmaid."

Basically it will the story from the handmaid POV. Seems interesting and can't seem to put it down, so I took it. I did have some doubt when I saw the top quote from Stephanie Meyer as her favorite recent read. Stephanie Meyer. Bah! Tapi maybe it will be very very good. And the author seems to have won herself a Newberry nominations (Quite distinguished Children's Books award.) tho not for this book. Can't remember the price. Dah tanggal pon price die.

And another book that I am SUPER excited about.

The Grimm's Fairy Tale! I think it is almost the complete tales with illustrations! (Black and white, but still), and I am sure there is no such thing as unabridged version of the Grimm's fairy tale. But the language ain't for kids either.

" Why weepest thou, O King's daughter? thy tears would melt even a stone to pity."

Nope. Not a book for 8 year olds. I had already 2 books in hand when I spot this, and was really hard for me to walk out of the stores without it in hands. I remembered I loved reading the Grimm's Fairy Tales book when I was small. It was torn asunder dah kut sekarang.

And its price is CHEAP. RM29.90. For hard cover. With dust jacket. Amounting of 852 pages of tebalness. CHEAP! I tell you.

The store at the time also have
- The Complete Illustrated Works of Hans Christian Andersen (which I am going to buy next)
- The Complete Illustrated Works of Lewis Carroll (ooohh.. also want after the above)
- The Complete Illustrated Short Stories of Sherlock Holmes (Bah. I never could like Sherlock Holmes)

Those who are mad about children's books, would find this a steal. I am telling you, I can never get so excited in buying clothes as I am buying books. Unless the clothes is really good like LEATHER JACKETS. Or even better A TRENCH LEATHER JACKET COAT. Dan di manakah aku nak pakai trench leather jacket panas lut lut di Malaysia ni kannn? Nak beliii tu kena sensible skettt. Tho I did have a weak moment when I bought a trench cardigan from Esprit yang mahalnye aku cuba sembunyikan dari mak aku okeh. Dah kahwin pun kena sembunyi beli barang dari mak. Cam mana tu...

"Hoi! Bulan puasa malam ni dah start. Try kawal sket nafsu shopping tu..."

Tetiba suara common sense turun bagaikan halilintar.

Gah! Ade 1 topic lagi tinggal. Panjang gile post ni. Takpe. Point form in short sentences.

UP

See it.

The short story at the start is I LIKE VERY MUCH. I always like the image of storks carrying babies to the home. And this is soo cutee.

Incredible first 20 minutes of the movie. Everyone remarked on how sad it is. What I thought? If my life is mostly like that, I would be contented in life.

Everything in the movie from the animals to kids to elderly is SUPERBLY CUTE. And wonderfully human!

The whole movie feels bittersweet. I would say this is one of my favorite PIXAR movies, surpassing Monster Inc. Just below The Incredibles.

So. Must Watch!

It's written in the stars

During my single years, I used to love poring over those horoscopes. I would look into those nonsensical things and together with my BFFs (Seri, that is especially you) we would laughed out loud and said that this is all nonsense when all the while we were wishing its were true. Despite of me thinking that this is all very superstitious stuffs, when the newspaper comes in the first thing we would looked at was the horoscope. Then we would move in to the comic strips.

We were wishing for a soulmate then (and you know... just typing soulmate make 0.1% of my brain rots from stupidity). For that other person who will make us complete and set our insides in fire. If you know what I mean. So when we were dumped by our boyfriends then or get rejected we would turned into these horoscopes, looked it over meticulously over various horrible created sites (complete with blinking stars as the background) and we declared to ourselves "Oh, see... the sign say we are not compatible." Not because we are morons and the guys are a jackass.

But as I gotten engaged and then married, I never really care to look into the horoscopes again. Not even to know if I would amass a million dollars if I were to step in somewhere. (Well, if that were to be true, I would like to know it can happened without me even caring about horoscopes). I do not care what the stars predict my love life would be like and hardly glance at it nowadays. I know what it would be like. Be it hard or easy, we still have to get through it. Reading a paragraph of 'signs' that apply to 1/12 of the world would not help it if you yourselves are not ready to take care of the problem.

Like I said all of these star signs are nonsense and nothing more than a diversion right? The idea that these person born under these specific dates is wrong for you or your soulmate is just rubbish aight? But the weird thing is, all my past boyfriends seems to fall under the same signs. Only these 2 signs. Capricorn and Virgo. And my ex boyfriends, is more than just 2 y'all. Weirdly my husband is a Taurus.

Oh, and I'm a Scorpio. Heh.

A Kitty In Need

of a good home.

This stray little kitten had suddenly come into our home looking so forlorn and pitiful that my sister fed her some bread. So she stay for the past week and had been eating Fasha leftover foods (certain brands of cat foods that Fasha doesnt like and refused to eat. Dasar kucing memilih gitu).

Awal-awal datang mengemis makanan

Dimandikan oleh husband untuk kasik rupa respectable sket

Because I am living at a crowded home , I do not think so we can keep her, tho I do like to.
Fasha had been chasing the little kitten around, (we had now separated the kitten to only live at the front porch). Tho the kitty had also been chasing Fasha around. Macam frenemies gitu main Tag.

She is a lovable little kitten but looking a little worse to wear tho really quite cute. Basically there's a sorta eczema ( kurap) on both her ears and head. We had been feeding her some milk (for added nutrients) and applied ointments on her skin. Seems to be getting better from the first time we ever saw her.

F.rom a sad, listless little kitten sekarang ni very active one and kept on running here and there playing with everything. I do believe with proper care (vet, ointments, some medicines) she would be a very handsome cat indeed as her fur is really quite pretty.

What she looked a week later after some kurap cream and a good feed. With Fasha the frenemy at the background.

Fasha memberi laser eyes to the new kitty. (Gamba hiasan)

So this post intention is really in asking any of you readers out there who would like to take extra care of a kitten? It is tedious, I know and she does not look 'kawaii' compare to the other lovable kittens you might normally see in the pet shops. But I do believe she needs a loving home and I couldn't bring myself to 'buang' her anywhere.

One of my options is SPCA. But before going to SPCA, and as some of you might know, it is also better to ask if any of you people who would like or know anyone that want to adopt a kitten and if they do would you want her? And the kitty is a she if you are wondering.

And please if you do, provide a good home and neuter your pets if you do not wish your pet untuk beranak pinak.

Been Reading

Matthew Reilly.

I had been reading the 7 Ancient Wonders and 6 Sacred Stones by Matthew Reilly lately. 7 Ancient Wonders I read about a couple of weeks back and 6 Sacred Stones while recovering at the hospital.

So I am combining both reviews into one post, still separate but no need to repeat points already highlighted. Also both books have the same set of characters. Not gonna take long in reviewing these 2 books as I have some daun-daunan I needed to 'jerang'. Huhu.

Anyway

7 Ancient Wonders. Excerpt from Amazon.com Review

The breakneck action stems from an Egyptian sun cult which has hidden pieces of the capstone to the great pyramid in the husks of the seven wonders of ancient world, leaving clues that would flummox Indiana Jones. Here's the deal: whichever nation can locate and assemble the capstone in time for a cosmic event designed to end life on Earth will rule the world. Enter a ragtag team of commandos representing non-superpowers (read, in a Da Vinci Code context, not the European Union, the United States or the Vatican) who stand to lose in this eventuality. The team pits itself in a race against the formidable forces of the western world, cosmic calendar, and traps set by ancient-wonder-hider, Imhotep V.

Hmmm. In the site the excerpt looked kinda less long.
  • Introduce us to the team of Captain Jack West Jr.
  • Fast paced. Like really. If Indy Jones was a novel (well maybe it was I never check), it is kinda like this.
  • Lovely complete imaginings of 7 Ancient Wonders tho some are reallly far fetched.
  • Treat it as truly fiction rather than historical fiction.
  • The writing is direct and no nonsense. Short concise words, more actions than thoughts most of the time. Can get mind boggling if you are used to slower books (moi! moi!)
  • Comes with drawings, which is a plus. Because describing complex buildings may be hard, but readers reading it considered it just as boring.
  • Effi, pick this up and read it. Should be right up in your alley. Though you may scoffs on the some of the very wildly inaccurate facts or legends.

6 Sacred Stones. The review excerpt I took from Amazon.com as below.

After completing a 10-year mission to acquire the Golden Capstone of the Great Pyramid from what's left of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, Jack West Jr. has retired to the Australian outback to raise his adopted daughter, Lily. Jack's pal, Professor Max T. Epper, known as Wizard, has discovered that the Dark Sun, a mysterious heavenly body, is due to emerge in nine days, triggering the Apocalypse. Ultimate disaster can only be averted if someone can locate the six legendary Pillars, cleanse them with the Philosopher's Stone and insert them in the 6 Vertices, thereby causing the Great Machine to power on and negate the fatal blast from the Dark Sun. If anyone can perform these Herculean labors, it's Reilly's resourceful hero.

  • The story picked up about a year after the 7 Ancient Wonders end.
  • More actions but, slower pace than the previous. But it gave the readers more breathing time to get familiar with the story and place.
  • Captain Jack West Jr is getting a bit predictable.
  • The legends are a bit complicated this time and I lose track on which is which, and that is annoying.
  • Cliffhanger ending for a book. WTF!

So I can't wait for book 3 which are the 5 Greatest Warriors coming in October!

Summary: Great reading. Hard to put down. Get some getting used to.

It was and was not to be

So to some of you who might have known or suspected.

Yes, I was about 2 months pregnant.

And for the observant of the grammar. The word is was.

And to many of you who didn't know. I had a miscarriage around 2 days ago and lost the baby or pregnancy. Not really sure on the correct term for that.

As many says, God knows best. And I am sure He does.

There's not much to say and I am not incline to say much here too on the matter. I am still at the hospital now(thanks to Maxis broadband where I am typing this from my husband laptop), but will be discharged soon. Thanks Sheema for visiting. Will be on 2 weeks of medical leave, I think. That's what the doctor said.

My mom will also datang to KL after the weekend.

Well. That's that.

A new place, new place to be lost in

Literally.

My office had just moved to the Gardens. Terasa grand and lavish y'all. And at long last, after berkerja selama beberapa tahun. (I don't count the years, tis too depressing) finally got meself a cubicle.

Ape? NO BIGGIES? Hoh. My first job, I have to share the desk with some older colleagues. Then I worked on shifts for 2 jobs which meant that we never got a desk that we can called our own because we are sharing with others and can change at will whichever desk we will be sitting on. Then for my current job, due to some office space problem we had to seat at a training table. Which is basically is just a piece of wood on all 4, masquerading as table.

Now... I finally got a cubicle of my own, (until some higher power said it is not to be) with DRAWERS AND KEY! GASP!

Well... now that excitement is over. The office is new. Still smelling of paint. Everything feels new. Even the road route.

Those who knew me, knows that I don't drive much. I hate driving. But I did it out of necessities Go to work. Buy stuffs. Anger some stuck up person driving a sedan. The usual. So my driving route skills is not much. Nor varies. I know how to go to Jalan TAR and back, only via one route. Know how to get to KLCC multiple routes. Know how to get to IKEA and back via one route. MidValley? Not so much.

So learning a new route to get to my new office is not easy for me oi! I can drive to Midvalley now quite comfortably. But getting back to Ulu Kelang? Well, yesterday I got lost in KL. Took the wrong turn and found myself in some roads I don't recognize. Wait! I do recognize it! After a few calls to husband and some few wrong turnings, manage to maneuver back to Ulu Kelang without panic attack.

Then today parking inside Gardens, I had stupidly driven past the designated parkings for the parking biasa and straight to season parking punyer basement. And the stupid thing is, once you gotten there, there's no other exit other than the way you came in. Urgh!

Well then. Lesson learned there. Lets hope, getting back home again today, I won't find myself on the way to Seremban pulak.

Rumbles of Rambles

Entri Hari Jumaat. Tidak berapa TGIF sebab ini bermakna my week long WFH is about to end. NOOOOO! Its been kinda nice. Days lazing around, in between work watching my series. Dengan ini aku telah habiskan tengok 90210 and today Reaper. At long last aku bole start Lipstick Jungle.

Anyway another pointless rambles today. But with pictures. I say it had been long since I posted a round of pics. So lets get on with it. And setelah aku berusaha cari atas bawah on my USB for the phone then hari ni baru la jumpa (rupanye bawah katil jee) and can posted pics. Let me remind you, the reason why my entries so lacking in pics sebab sifat semulajadi yang malas berganda-ganda untuk mentransfer gamba from camera/phone to PC. I don't know why, I am just built that way.

So first round of pics is umai! MIL remembered that my family (mainly my BIL) love eating umai the last time they are there. So she brought the main ingredients of umai to us via my husband. Sambal belacan cili tumbuk, limau nipis and the flesh of ikan tenggiri.

In process of campur the ingredients dan mengaul-gaul.

Looked at how pink the tenggiri is. Oh for close up

Yes it does look kinda dodgy but think of it as another variant of sushi.

Its a local dish from Sarawak where you put in fresh seafood in with various ingredients as above. I think the ingredients may varies from one household to another but it basically is raw fish digaul with cuka, cili and limau to 'masak' it. And Sarawakians usually accompany it with sagu (the combination of crunchy and squishy is nice). Pretty darn great. Depends on what fish you want to put in, tapi my MIL prefer tenggiri. Tho my husband said the last weekend he went back they had some umai obor-obor. That sounds delish!

So the dish is served to mainly the men in the family. Adik-adik aku yang before this didn't get to taste it before at Bintulu sudah dapat rase. Alisha nak lain kali? Hehe. Tho I did think my MIL punyer is more superior. Adelah tu mende terkurang or terlebih.

As only the tenggiri being supplied adalah banyak so ada la plak leftover. Which I gave to Fasha (few days later) since umai is best eaten fresh . I think she didn't much like the taste of belacan or cili(?) that came with it, tapi die bedal jugak. Hehehe.

Mengingatkan aku yang pagi tadi I found her at dapur with tupperware bergelimpangan sebab die kelaparan and cari makanan. Hoh. And so I end this entry with a pic of Fasha yang makin bulat, membulatkan diri.

Oh gamba ni gelap la. Ah. Lantak la. Aku malas edit mahupon cari gamba lain. So there's pics and that's that.

Laters!

Correction: Ops! Silap! In the umai tadek belacan la. Just cili tumbuk. But letak belacan mcm sedap jugak je. Hurmph....

Merchant of Bollywood

Around last week, went to watch the Merchant of Bollywood musical at Istana Budaya with Gohan terchenta. We bought the ticket monthss back (to get the discount) and almost forgotten we were planning to watch the show.

Gamba kelam tatkala intermission

And as usual, I am not in a chatty mood so... point forms ahead.

The good:
  • Good opening number
  • Incredible dancers with great energy and flair. They can go round and round tirelessly.
  • The cast, especially the female and male lead have great chemistry which make it more enjoyable.
  • Beautiful dance. The classical dance was exquisite. The modern one is just as energetic and fun.
  • The enthusiasm of the cast in lifting up the crowd cries and fervor for MORE!MORE!MORE! And the cast oblige.

The meh:
  • The stage sets does not varies nor impress. But the cars prop are cute.
  • The songs are kinda "I never heard that". Maybe I am not that familiar with 70s Bollywood.
  • The first act was a bit of a doozy. Only in the second act things seems to be a bit interesting
  • The storyline is too simplistic. I guess I wished there was a bit more in the story.

Summary:
Great fun. Go for the dances and hot chicks with toned abs shaking and dancing. (which the guys sitting right at the front when we were there seems to be enjoying)

Concerning Various

Okeh. Mari random rambles.

1. Husband had left for Bintulu. So girls jom jimba-jimba? Ops. Mahu kena panah petir ni. Takpe he said " No jalan-jalan sangat". Jalan-jalan jee die cakap jangan. So MAKAN-MAKAN takpe, OK.

2. This is my last day at the office. In the next 2 weeks, my office would be moving smack in the middle of Midvalley. At the Gardens specifically. I foresee some dire financial circumstances that will befall me.

3. I would certainly missed eating at Krathong, Maju Junction (Sedap gile tomyam die) and gerai bawah pokok (they have some pretty decent kerabu perut).

4. I am pretty bummed that I can't go to Bintulu this weekend for reason that I will tell you girls later. Dah teringat masakan Sarawak yang sedap. In the mean time, aku ulang, mari la cheer up aku.

5. Next week for the whole week, due to office gigih in the process of mempacking, me and several others will be working from home. Wooot! Ini makna, aku boleh kerja dengan memakai baju tidur dan tak payah mandi awal-awal pagi. Takyah mandi langsung pon boleh, kecuali I don't think my family members would approve.

6. Finished reading Sleeping with the Fishes by Mary Janice Davidson. It merit a just OK la. A bit of a crappy writing. Rather vulgar and shocking. I guess it was shockingly vulgar to me after the prim story weaving of the Historian. Which made me realized it more that I always preferred Brit writers, especially chic lit ones. Probably that I like their type of 'dry' humour and writing. Back to the author, I did bought several of her works, on her vampire series. Let's see if I liked that better.

7. Hurm... Tadek idea dah. Blog later!

The Historian

Kenapa sudah lama tidak belogging?

I was granted MC for 3 days last week. Boring days indeed with my computer not functioning (motherboard lebur) and I can't accessed my series. I did manage to finish watching Angel Season Five finally. So now, for another set of old series rerun. Haven't decide yet on Dexter or The Tudors. Though if I had finished 'acquiring' Felicity, I would surely watch that first.

So in between time staying in bed and couch, I immersed myself in the book The Historian. Like any serious novel, I was afraid it is going to be tedious or pointless like The Geographer's Library. But I did enjoyed reading it.

The story is about a young girl discovering a series of letters in her father's office. Thus from there she learned her family secret and legacy on a quest for the truth about Vlad the Impaler.

So more and less, it is about the history of vampires or Dracula to be exact.

Well then, why I like it? I'll make it on point form for me to easier write it and take less time ( as I need to do some work :D), and I am not writing an article anyway.

1. Vlad the Impaler. Those who are fascinated on the legends of vampire and Dracula so called, will enjoy reading about Vlad the Impaler.

2. The book pace is set beautifully. When you had reached around 50 pages and more it will be hard to put down. It is a thick book. About 800++ pages I think.

3. The beautiful description. I especially love the description on Istanbul (one of the places that I would really like to go).

4. It makes you yearn to become a historian. Opening dusty forgotten old books, looking at old maps figuring out 500 years ago this place is where, looking at an old rich place steeped with history and knowing the stories behind it.

Some flaws:
1. The ending is a bit anticlimactic after some very intriguing buildup. Though it is ok enough

2. The letters addressed to the daughter is a tad bit descriptive. I meant, yes the father wants to include all... but these letters was written in a hurry and meant to include all his experience, but it will work more if he had written a journal before and thus leaving the journal to the daughter.

All in all. I like it. I intend to read it again in a few years after I forgot most of what had happened. Or when the movie is coming out. Heard that a movie is in the making, the script is being made as I typed this. Standard fare Hollywood, hope it doesn't sucks.

I am feeling pissed

For no apparent reason.

Actually there is.

Tapi malas nak cakap kenapa. BOLEH? Hahaha. Just some silly stuffs. And also I am a little bit worried, tapi sedikit sahaja. So I wished my husband; who is now at Kuantan for training, is here untuk manjakan aku like that... Hikhik (Gelak manja yang saiko). And to push me to do things that I actually should have done instead of procrastinating.

My computer rusak and it annoyed me to no end. This means, I can't access my series. Tho I can internet-ing if I am using my work laptop as the wireless seems to be working. But my work laptop sucks!

And I can't download True Blood. Actually I can. But it is kinda slow and I obviously can't download it at the office. Tsk. Tsk.

Oh. Currently am reading Fables. Happy!

Am thinking... Subway for lunch la!

The love affair with the fangs

*thump* *thump*

Oh, I was just feeling the vein at my throat and I was suddenly pulled to the scene of past week True Blood when Jessica eyes was peeled on the pulsing veins on Hoyt neck. Her lips open slightly, eyes ablaze with hunger and just at the right moment she gulped down the feeling and asked for Tru Blood. Awesome moment. I was feeling blah about the show on its first season but the second part of the first season and this second season is pretty terrific. Genius even. And Jessica walking into the bar looking like a mixture of sultry and innocence, THAT was the highlight of the show, second only to mimic-ing Bill tone and accent.

I had looked through some of the new shows that will be premiering this fall. The only thing that really catch my interest was Vampire Diaries ( a more tone down Twilight-esque series about vampires). Yes, vampires is so IN now thanks to theTwilight mania. But I swear I had always liked them before Twilight, even before Buffy, right around the time of Bram Stoker: Dracula that have Gary Oldman, Winona Ryer (cause I was obsessed with Winona Ryder then) and wooden Keanu Reeves.

Then came Buffy, where I am kinda blah about Angel, because he is so woefully depressing during the whole 3 seasons. Though I loved him in Angel because in that show (Angel), he and the writers are painfully aware of how ridiculously broody he is. But of course the vampire that stake a claim in my heart, is the bleached peroxide blond Spike. James Marsters so revelled playing that character.

In True Blood though, Bill Compton does not set my blood on fire. Nor does Eric. I meant after watching him going through a man intestines with his bare hand and mouth, urgh, no thanks. I like a more refined killer. Can or not like that hor? I do like Sam though. Comel gile tengok a grown man transform to a cute dog. Kawaii~~~

So, back to Vampire Diaries. Took me long enough. Well, why am I interested in Vampire Diaries. The obvious teenager filled angst described as slightly better than Twilight? Heck, I love teenage angst, but that's not it. The heroine is not as creepily needy as Bella? Who knows, maybe the heroine will be worse. But I will be watching because of this

Ian Smoking-Hot Somerhalder.

Yes, Effi, he may looked like a douche. But he is a hot douche in a leather jacket. Some allowance will be made for His Hawtness. I had been pining away after him ever since the early demise of Young Americans, a stupid series in the year 2000 about boys in some elite school. It is also the first time I noticed Kate Bosworth before she becomes all Twiggy-like. In that series Kate Bosworth character fell in love with her half brother (Not Iam Somerhalder). It is all very icky to me.

So Vampire Diaries. Tengok je la if it will be any good eh... After all I would need another vampire heartthrob to replace Spike with.

The disasters that are Heroes and 90210

Got no idea to blog. So aku curi idea from Watch With Kristin articles on how to fix Heroes and 90210.

We'll start with Heroes first.

The best things about it at first:
  • People who have superpowers
  • Geeks factored in and considered cool
  • Sylar
  • Clear defined arc with characters working together to "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World"
  • The wonderful HRG complicated character.
  • Hiro and Ando wonderful adventures in USA-land and Hiro-land.

The horrible things that start unravelling as 3 seasons past:
  • Sylar. The.Most.Self.Absorbed.Yet.Annoyingly.Boring.Villain.Ever.
  • Sylar sudden Daddy's Issues.
  • Sylar doing good and overcoming murderous impulse and just ... his storylines are beginning to piss me off.
  • Hiro becoming self-power-obsessed and continue to be childish with no character development.
  • Ali Larter keep on coming back after being dead. One time you are back after being dead, its fine. 2 times is pushing it.
  • Mysterious disappearance of recurring characters and how the writers just completely forgot they even existed. (Hello Caitlin. Hello Monica)
  • Each and every character becoming a bore.
  • Storyline was setup, idiotic endings without any means to tie up loose ends.

Fix Heroes?
These are the suggestions thrown out in the articles.

1. Kill everyone but Sylar and Jack Coleman's H.R.G.

2. Going forward, use only Sylar and H.R.G.'s given names of Gabriel Gray and Noah Bennet, in order to detach their characters from the existing bankrupt mythology.

3. Take Peter's original power of being able to absorb (sans brain-slicing) other powers and give it to Gabriel, but with the following caveats: Gabriel can only absorb powers intentionally, and every time he does that, he automatically loses an existing power, but he doesn't know which power he will lose until it's gone

4. Resurrect Kristen Bell's electric Elle.

5. Get Gabriel and Elle together as a superpowered Bonnie and Clyde, running from the law (in the form of Noah Bennet) and trying to redeem themselves. They can brood beautifully about their past misdeeds and try to create a functional relationship while moving from town to town using their powers to help the helpess. Meanwhile, Jack Coleman's Noah gets the thankless but essential job of hunting them down and trying to destroy their fragile relationship.

which are actually a pretty good idea! But I do like Angela Petrelli... so maybe in addition

1. Retain Angela Petrelli as the head of conspiracy for the new organization Noah Bennet will be running.

2. Sumbat Claire on campus and just let her have her Girls Gone Wild moments with bouts of heroics in saving people, with hilarious results of intervention from well meaning but creepy uncle Peter.

3. or.... for the writers:Stop introducing new plots, villains, heroes; get your shit together and just resolve your storyline clearly.

Now for the more terrible show 90210, for reason unknown I kept on watching

The best likable things about it at first:
  • A reboot of the much beloved show, Beverly Hills, 90210.
  • Reappearance of Brenda and Kelly. Woot!
  • The wonderful Jessica Lowndes as Adrianna. She is the only reason I kept watching.
  • The satisfactory feeling when the drama teacher mentioned that Annie sucks at acting. Heh.

The horrible things that start unraveling even from episode 1:
  • Annie. Enough said.
  • Rob Estes painful departure from cool cop in Women Murder Club to goofy dependable dad-principal of Beverly High.
  • The Spring Awakening production episodes, where Annie was asked to show her talents and being praised for her awful(30x magnified) dancing/singing talent.
  • Anna-Lynne McCord overacting and curled Singa hair. And whenever she sashayed anywhere.
  • Tori Spelling plastic surgery face and boobs which just filled me up in horror whenever she appears on-screen.
  • The terrible, terrible fashion.
  • Blaming Dustin Milligan (Ethan) that his storyline does not work, when it is clearly the main characters (Annie and Dixon).

Fix 90210?
There's no clear suggestion thrown out in the articles (as it just started to pinpoint the problems) but probably most people have no idea how to salvage this sinking ship who is still afloat due to the good graces of it predecessor.

Maybe they could...

1. Killed off Annie. Her parents can adopt some weird chicks from the slums, Veronica Mars style who would then start giving snark comments on Naomi's hair and Silver's obsession with leggings.

2. Stop making Naomi as a sex kitten. Tone her character down a bit. She is more interesting when being tone down. And asked the actress to close her mouth. Her mouth is always agape.

3. Gah, just cancel it off altogether and reboot My So Called Life. That would be more interesting.

Oh and I found it perplexing that many series focused on high school life, rarely campus or college years. Felicity was damn good ok.

Weekend & Games

Start with the weekend post first because, tomorrow is Friday!

The girls asked for a get together, and I was dying to try out some briyani at Zahrat restaurant after reading Peej's entry on her blog. You do not want to read her blog while hungry I tell you.

So kami berlima bersama skandal, husband and bf masing-masing (minus two yang tidak bawak plus one), decided to go there last Saturday night.

Peej had warned in her entry that it took some time for the order to come in, esp the one we ordered; Maghut Lamb and Chicken, so Sheema came prepared with UNO!

The winner = Sheema! Hoh! Ko jampi kad tu kat umah ke sebelom bawak? Hehe. But it does helped passed the time dan buat kami-kami ini kurang pikir lapar di perut.

Bile nasik tu sampai harus lah semua serbu Tak sempat aku nak amik gamba extra pon. Ni je yang ade. The kuah sedap, pedas. I like! Like I said we ordered the Maghut Lamb half kg and Maghut Chicken half kg. So the lamb is simply superbly delish. The chicken (pictured above) is quite good too. Bila teringat balik, terliur aku. It was quite cheap too. We ordered the Hummus with 3 breads, multiple drinks (almost each ordered 2 drinks for themselves), a salad, 2 maghuts, 3 desserts, the bill came up to RM170++. For eight people makan okeh. Best. But I think the next time bile ramai macam tu kena order 1kg each pulak because the guys makan macam tak puas.

Memang patut pegi lagi. But parking is a bitch, and pastikan kereta tak akan diblock oleh sports car pak arab. Hehehe.

Ok, that's that. The pics I promise aku upload this weekend in Facebook okeh? Rugi la Gohan ko tadek Facebook. Muahaha.

So now the games.

The past weekend, we had also been playing Monopoly and UNO. It was fun playing those boardgames and cardgames after I had not touched them for years. It helped that I have a brother yang super obsessed with boardgames and cardgames too. Hehe. Kalau main 2 orang ngan my husband je, gile mandom.

Then a few days back, my husband bought Monopoly Deal. A new game of Monopoly where you can play Monopoly via cards. Monopoly card games!

Gamba dicuri dari sini

It was super fun! Like any games, it takes a bit of time to adjust, then after you knew all the rules the games is pretty addictive. And I had won 3 times out of the 5 times we had played this! Woohoo! Because when I played Monopoly the boardgames, I rarely win. I think I won only once kut before. My brother said "Ko memang loser." Hehehe.

This game is best when you are playing with 3 or more. Great to bring along when you are travelling, or when you are simply just plain lazy to spread out the boardgames. Tapi kalo free weekend ni, I think I will still spread out the boardgame.

Now this makes me stoked to buy Cluedo. Tak penah main, but it sure looks fun.

A Letter To For The 16 Year Old ME

Tagged by Sue on this. Interesting... Let's see

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi 16 year ol' me,

This letter should find it way in to your hand around November aight, when you turned 16?

Fine. I don't believe in regrets pon and I do believe the good and the bad that comes in life mold us on who we are and who we befriended and try to be. So do what you set out to do cause you never deign to listen to advice pon kan? Dasar kepala batu gitu.

But, I think around this time, you are preparing to dump a guy because he was an arse right? I mean, helloooo... what kinda boyfriend mentioned that he raked up the phone bill because he is calling OTHER girl but he NEVER called you. Yeps, so dump his loserish ass. I support you in this decision and he left no dent in your life either. Believe me, you will keep on forgetting he used to be your boyfriend. But next time, keep the gifts from the ex boyfriends k? Macam best je tunjuk kat your husband later on for you to have your laughs out.

Also, try to be a little less bitchy, because I am beginning to be a mega bitch. But heck, I think it started even from early secondary school phase, so whatever la. Just be a little kinder to that weird akward big boned girl from the next dorm ok. You will regret for being unkind to others, no matter how heartless you looked. And you will feel the twinge of guilt later, not sooner.

Hmmmm. Around this time, SPM seems like million years away. I wish I could goad you to study harder, but I doubt you would listen. Sigh. But a little less sleep, daydreaming, main-main and a little more studying could probably make you feel less than a moron OK? Especially the science subjects. Don't just concentrate on History because it is more interesting.

There would be circumstances in life later that you wish you could change, if you insist or resist hard enough. Maybe, maybe. Maybe if the choices are different, there are life changing moments that I can't predict of. Maybe it would be for the good, maybe it would be for the bad. Who knows? After all, reality is not Sliding Doors. But wouldn't it be interesting if it is aight?

But let's not worry your 16 year old head on this... In the mean time, enjoy the cake that your loser soon-to-be ex boyfriend asked your friend to bake for you. Well, at least he got a few good points, better than some of your will-be boyfriends in the future. So maybe my last piece of advice, dump his ass, but be a little less bitchy about it k?

From,
Your slightly bigger and tired looking future self.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Who should I tagged?

Beranikah aku mahu tag Pn. Chics yang gelemer itu?

Or does tired Shu would want to do this, to take her mind off her tiredness and her new home, and back to Sains Kota Tinggi days?

Or Dila, where even though she is a mom, she just feels like a little sister to me? (hehe...)

Or does En. Effi would want to advice his previous self on how to catch chicks? (Yes, I know En. Effi another pemes beloger turn up his nose on tag)

My husband? I will asked him personally la :P

Or Pn Sheema or Cik Seri mahu update belog mereka yang berhabuk itu with this tag?

Oh, the above I mentioned is the one I would like to tag.

Alice in Wonderland

I had never read the novel nor watch it. What I did read was the Disney version story book for kids, and I love the Red Queens. I never thought she was evil then (because p'raps Disney had filtered out the violence heavily) just really interesting.

The movie is coming out and is directed by Tim Burton. Alice would be played by a relatively unknown actress, but other big stars are Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter. The batch of pictures are now going around the web and are really purty. My fav one is this

I just go 'Ohhhhhhhhh'. Count me in for a ticket on March 10, 2010. Yeah, a long way off.

Tired

Felt tired.

Ache all over and I hate it.

Eh. Found RM1 in big bag today. Happy!

Strangely I felt like I had just eaten petai even though I haven't had petai today.

Balik kerja kan nak main UNO la. Hehe. Semua ni sebab Sheema la reintroduce. Our version of playing UNO is more brutal and take longer to win. Tengok lah if all agree.

Will post later regarding the weekend. This is a filler post y'all and a short one at that.

Malas Monday.

2 Deaths

So people are talking about the death of MJ and to a lesser extent Farrah Fawcett. So Melissa Joan Hart should probably be relieved that she died NOT during her (MJH) big cover shoot release for People magz? (Those who do not understand, MJH was reportedly saying to someone that she hope Farrah Fawcett won't died when her front cover shoot is scheduled to release)

Its very sudden news and somewhat sad (somewhat because I don't personally know them) for all of us here. Mix.FM is currently playing all songs from Michael Jackson and one of my colleague is playing MIX.FM stream out loudly.

MJ died reportedly of a cardiac arrest, but no official report yet stated on his cause of death. Farrah Fawcett died after her long struggle with cancer. Both are very sudden to me. Farrah because last I heard she was getting a bit better and MJ, well, he was planning for a concert aight?

Got me to thinking to too, would you want to know your own death. Between cancer and a freak accident? Which horrified you more? But of course talking about it wouldn't help as we couldn't possibly choose our own death (unless you are stupid and opt for suicide). And even if we are diagnosed with cancer, apart from fighting cancer, we can also died anytime ... say you trip and broke your neck when you wake up and go to the dresser to take your medication. So... takde point. Just how unpredictable death is.

Yups, bleary Friday. Even workwise is not too good as we are struggling with an issue which at first I thought originate from me, but I found out later this may not be the case. A little sigh of relief (because I know I always triple checked the damn thing before releasing it) but that just a small solace sebab aku maseeehh tak tahu knape and people are asking me when it can be fixed!

Aku takkk tahuuuuu. Aku a moron.

Nak gi beli ciken la. Stress.

Eh hari ni Rabu?

Mati-mati aku ingat Selasa.

Its raining, SEMESTINYE Jln Sultan Ismail jammed. Aku mencie.

And I am mengantuk after devouring a heavy lunch. Tapi very satisfied. Stelah sekian lama, dapat pon kerabu perut. *Muka penuh bliss*

I kept on waking late these past days, just felt immensely tired. Sampai alarm handphone berbunyi pon susah bangun. My cat even came to my side and pointed her paws toward the phone. She must found it annoying too.

And ugh.... ah. Malas la nak repeat myself. I JUST FIND IT FREAKING ANNOYING K.

Few things before

... that I used to think was ultimate kewlness. (The term kewlness I took from Taqi, who likes to use that term)

Disclaimer: Hey, Maybe these things still rock your boats or not, but this is my personal opinion on these and I don't judge people if they want them (Ok. Maybe a little). Fine?

Heels
Dahulu, aku terpengaruh tengok cite hape tah where someone said ".. but heels make my butt looked slimmer". And I am sold! Anything to minimize this mega-butt of mine. I also used to think that, as long as you are young and not pregnant and spinal tulang masih belom bengkok, you need to rock that heels. So dulu stupidly I will buy a cheap pair of heels (tho quite attractive) and when it pinches and blistered I will just grit my teeth and tahan. All in the name of looking 0.0001 percent prettier. WTF right?

Now... Not so much. I could count with 1 hand how many times I had wore heels this year. And wearing heels while lugging your laptop around? Menyakitkan. Nak berjalan laju-laju ke sana sini? Orang yang super klutz like me slalunye mestiiii ade peristiwa yang akan memalukan diri sendri. Pakai selipar pon I fall quite regularly, apatah lagi heels.

But! This does not mean I abhor heels. I just don't think it is the kewlest thing ever or a thing I need to wear constantly. As there are some clothes looked nicer with heels and jika ke function a little heels would be darn nice, I'll wear it once in a while. But nowadays I will make sure my pretty clothes goes with a comfortable, sensible, pair of heels.

Designer Bags
Few years back when I looked outside Marc Jacobs or Tods stores, mulalah salivating and promise to myself "I will buy this!" "I will!", all rapt and shining eyes.

Sekarang. Yes, masih jua teruja tengok designer bags yang mahal-mahal ini. But I am feeling blah about it. Every Minah, Ah Siew and Kamala seems to have LV or Couch or ape2 lak yang riban riban. Macam affordable pulak tengok sume orang pakai.

Kenkonon I am too kewl for words, so buying designer bags when everyone is doing so is sooo not my thing k (bimbo mode sekejab) . Also *looked at dompet*, which 7-11 nak aku rompak for me to afford an LV. Angan-angan bimbo squashed. Then kalo dah beli beg ribu ribu itu, kalo aku tapaw nasi lemak + sambal ikan bilis petai (tidak, aku tak masak, beli semata-mata) and masuk ke dalam beg for my breakfast consumption...

Dengan itu, I am comfortable to buy my usual cheap bags ala-ala Sg Wang mali or the one I bought in Vietnam. Ada Coach keluarkan beg yang ade bling-bling, embroidered butterflies and flowers bagai ? Nope, I don't think so. If there are indeed, I can also easily retract my statement as I don't fancy wasting my surfing time to browse over their site.

So the thing is buying designer handbags is getting less tempting day by day, as I am just as satisfied with a cheap and pretty one. Or just cheap, as honestly unless I have a few Ks to spare every months, I just couldn't afford it. And with all things I can't afford, I don't really care about it. Yups, this goes also for expensive clothes.

Expensive Skin Care Products
I used to envy people who wear things such as SKII, Dermalogica, Biotherm and the likes.

Then I though why should I? My skin while nothing to shout about I think it is ok enough using RM20 and RM10 products. And sometimes when I bought this moisturizer la, cream and all that, I rarely used it pon. Hmmm.

So in the mean time, I will wear my pharmacy bought inexpensive products and bile rase dah kurang jelita I will fork out more. Unless husband mahu support untuk kasik wife lebey jelita? Hehe.

Keeping up with the Kardashians Latest Music and Bands
When I was young I thought that it is imperative that my music is up to date or at the very least be active in finding out which songs or bands you might like. *Also I remembered when I was teenager that I listened regularly to the top 40s and top 20s. Then I will be REALLY excited when my favorite song get to be No. 1. Really excited as in jumping up and down clapping hand excited. Yes, it was .... I don't know how to explain that. Weird, idiotic, embarassing?*

Now... meh. I am content to hear lagu-lagu yang I had heard 10 times every week from 10 years ago. I wondered if I am even musically backwards. The thing that I like usually comes from soundtracks. So I will google it up, if I remembered it. Local bands jangan cakap la. I have no idea who MUH is, not until this year.

So, if I like it enough I will look for it. If not, I will just listen to my Radiohead mp3 for the umpteenth time.

p/s: The * sentence I had just added a few hours after this post been published, because I had just remembered I totally did this. Heh.

Rambles of a Moron

Random 1
I had been reading Lucy Maud Montgomery short stories in the Gutenberg site for a few years now, whenever I have a free lunchtime with foods in hand. Cause food taste better with words swimming around your eyes. I had now finished reading all her short stories.

I noticed however a few of her short stories is

1. Recurrent
2. Word to word the same as some of the stories told in the Anne series and Emily series. With names changed, but nothing else.

Hmmmmm... That makes me a bit blah. Heh... but then, she did write quite a number of books and short stories to make a living of, so the rehash a bit of story when ideas run out is understandable. Have to say her short stories is enjoyable, some are too wayyy romantic and some are a bit racist. However, those are the old days. We accept the stories as the way that they live then. I love the Anne series and the Emily series. But the Blue Castle, is a personal favorite of mine too.

Random 2
I have a problem. Or maybe you(or someone) have a problem.

My problem is, I do not like people invading my personal place, excepting my husband as he had paid dearly for that space. :P Anyway, back to the point. I get it that you want to ask something, but randomly showing up and tetiba buat muka kiut (NOT) right in front of of laptop monitor is

1. Startling
2. Unnerving
3. Annoying
4. Creepy

So, not OK. I also get that sometimes, when explaining things, you need to type something on my keyboard but anyone, when doing this please say

1. Excuse me
OR
2. Sorry
OR
3. Can I?

and Do.Not.Hover.Closely.Really.Closely.Next.To.Me when you want to show me stuffs. I feel like screaming.

Sorry. Like I said, I do not like people invading my personal space.

Random 3
I need to stop buying books. I think I had bought more than a 2 year supply of books. Must. Stop. Buying. Books. Especially those books that are being sold cheap online. Ugh

Random 4
Online peeve of mine. When you asked people to comment, reply back will ya? If you malas, then don't bitch that people don't comment on your blog?

Random 5
I am a moron.

A birthday, wedding and a trip to Bentong.

Okeh. Pictorial post ahead.

Because last week is my brother birthday, haruslah my sis beli kek sebab die paksa. Heh. Well sebab Alisha nak tengok gamba kek ni, and I forgot to put it up earlier, so I bundle gamba2 ni dalam 1 post.

So the kek.

Then sebab birthday boy memang jenis takkan tiup lilin, haruslah si kecik di rumah tu stand in untuk meniup.

Expression cheeky sungguh bile dapat pegang pisau potong kek. So the cake was cut and everybody eated. Very the nice cake, bought from Bread History.

That was on Wednesday kut. Or Tuesday? Can't remember.

Then on Saturday, menemani Gohan terchenta for our unimates wedding (Napie)at Muar. We bring along wide eyed Iyayy right after he had finished his night work shift.

The wedding is at Parit Besar, Muar. Tho I am a Johorian, I have never been to Muar. Heh. So kami sesat mesat di sana sini mencari direction ke Parit Besar and we had almost given up hope ever finding the house. Setelah resigned to our fate and mahu berenti mana-mana makan goreng pisang, we found the correct route and found our way in to Napie's house.

Selamat Pengantin Baru Napie and wife. I like the white and red combination. Nice. Oh, and during the kenduri feast, the ayam golek was heavenly. Rugi aku tak amik banyak-banyak.

After melepak at his house for the sanding ceremony and memotong kek, we headed back to KL. Singgah for a while at Simpang Ampat for some goreng pisang with kuah kicap cili, and cendol.

Esok tu pulak, pergi ke Chamang which is at Bentong with the whole family. Plan kuar rumah kul 9 am. Last-last almost 10.30 kut baru kuar. Hehehe.

Our family used to live at Bentong for a few years when I was around 6 and 7 years old. Before headed to Chamang, we drive past our old home at Sungai Marong to see how much had changed. Not much changed in the neighbourhood as I recognized some of the houses still, though our old house had changed a lot. From a little bungalow, it had now been renovated to monstrous mansion of a house. Aku lupa pulak nak tangkap gambar. Well after that, we drove the highly berliku-liku road to Chamang.

There were quite a lots of people there due to the school holiday, so our spot was less than perfect. We make do though. My mom and sis had cooked nasi lemak and bihun for the trip, so foodwise we are all settled.

The waterfall was just like what I remembered, though they had changed quite a lot in the surrounding. Yelah, time kite orang pergi dulu we are the only people there including a few army person. The view of the waterfall was beautiful, though people are not allowed to climb upwards those rocks above. Few tried when I was there then keluarlah satu pakcik ni bawak keluar siren die and megaphone out loud "Jangan melepasi kawasan larangan!".

Nice place actually. Lain kali datang awal sikit amik spot okeh (planning2 yang aku utarakan earlier kepada Adek). There are a few dangerous spot on the waters marked on a signboard. Many people do not take heed on such things though and just blithely swam around the dangerous areas.

Oh, bawak budak Abid ni masuk air. At first muka berkerut, bila masuk lagi dalam mula la meraung. Though he didn't throw such a fit compare to the other toddlers there, he was more content to only have a lil bit of his feet wet, thank you very much.

Muka before masuk air. Tidak mensuspek auntie die akan memperkenalkan air sungai yang sejuk untuk rekreasi die tengahhari itu. Not his idea of fun. Tak sempat amik gamba die melolong. Hoh. Also, I didn't manage to capture loads of pics pon of other family members. Ye la kan. Having fun in waterfall and eating delish foods vs capturing pics? Akak dan Alisha bole head to Some nye Facebook for more pics galore though.

Inching towards late afternoon, we packed up and pergi to the Kem Tentera where our father dulu pernah based at untuk mengusha-usha.

We were surprised to find that the barracks and camp tengah dirobohkan. Rupanye dalam proses of major 'renovation'

Sign pon dah tadek

Then, after my mom duk bertanya kat guard tentera tu we went to pekan Bentong for ABC. Dulu kedai kopi ini ade ABC picture on their signboard complete with a cherry on top. Sekarang dah replace with gamba Mickey Mouse. Hoh!

It doesn't look much, but a lot of people frequent there. The owner remembered my mom and she pointed out her children to him. He smiled widely and said he had opened this shop for 36 years . When we were living in Bentong, we used to go this shop frequently for the ABC.

We ordered the ABC special and we got this.

Suspect. Something like Cendol with Ice Cream. It is delish of course and the ice cream is exquisite, tapi tadek rupa ABC? Hurmph. Oh well, next time pergi lagi, try order balik ABC and Cendol Ice Cream to see ade different ke atau kite org silap order?

Oh at the front, there is a freezer for ice cream which you can choose. All of their ice creams are home made (or shop made). So when my brothers after finishing our cendol ice cream, beli another round of ice cream to go, they opted for Peanuts and Banana. The Banana tasted something like Pengat Pisang.

Apo with ice cream banana die

Jan dengan ice cream peanut. Abid rase ice cream Apo and like it so much, so his father bought another ice cream pisang for him which he later refused to share.

Heh. And the Peanuts macam grounded ground nuts. Unique tasting I say. Even the Ice Cream Coffee taste a bit bitter, compare to the usual supermarket variety. Oh those ice cream and cone is RM2 a piece.

Afterwards back to KL and semua kepenatan.

p/s: Ok. Panjang dah post ni. Penat.

Filler Post dengan Fasha Sebagai Model

Friday Fluff!

My sister informed, when she first saw Fasha after she had taken her bath, she was confused whose cat is that.

Rupa huduh aje kan.

Bile lepas mandi, I always taunt her "Mangy cur!", though cur is reserved for the doggies, it just suited that creature above perfectly. There is another picture of perfect disdainful look I manage
to capture, except it is really blurred as when wet, she will be frantically licking her fur.

After she had reasonably dried, I put her on the sofa. There she continue to nap fitfully dengan various poses until almost nighttime. Macam penat sangat je kena mandi.

Fasha with all her fluffy glory. Membuta dengan meng-'conquer' a 2 seat sofa for herself the whole afternoon.

SBP days made bearable

I have a hankering to do some post on the past. So I guess I will scrap something up regarding the SBP days.

Gah! I hate my SBP.Especially the rules. I hate there's a schedule when we need to study , when to wake up, when to play, when to watch TV. It was driving me insane. But it is partly my fault, I thought it was going to be fun. Hah! Padan muka sendri kan. But its not all bad. I just hated the schedule when to do this and when to do that. Macam the warden felt if left to our own devices we would have organize a Pesta Buih and trashed the whole dorm upside down.

Anyway, I feel like just mentioning a few things, the day to day stuffs that we went through. As sometimes we raked our memories of the truly good times and bad times we have of a place, we completely forgot the ordinary, nice day to day stuffs that we go through which makes life in the boarding place tengah-tengah tempat jin tendang tu more bearable.

Cream Crackers Galore
After Isya' we would drop by the dewan makan for some biscuits and Milo. If there is no biscuits or we don't feel like hanging out at dewan makan, the cup of Milo would be brought to our dorm room and we would melepak la di tengah2 dorm beramai, with balang cream crackers and biscuit Marie, bergossip. It would be an even more bising if it is nearing the end of semester and we must finished all those cream crackers. So even more balang of biscuits in the middle of the dorm, with even more time spent laughing and giggling over stories or gossips.

Letters
When you have a boyfriend in another school, letters is such a nice way to keep in touch. I used to write insanely long letters. 6 PAGES LONG in average! He used to say that he loved receiving those. But then he dumped me. So tah la? Prolly he hated it. Heh. Anyway, he used to write quite long letters too, and at the end, there would usually be some nonsensical babble written. I showed them to my friend and she helped me figure out those stuffs as it is written in code kinda like 1 4 3 is I Love You. Yeah. *snickers* Corny. Whatever.

But receiving those letters was the grand highlight of the week. You never know if you would receive the letter because the wardens were filtering letters sent to students to make sure no hanky panky is going on, so any suspicious letter would be simpan by the warden.

The Prep Time
I hate those prep time. But I also love them because this is the time that I usually go to the next class to gossip. Usually nearing the end of prep time when people would get a little bit restless, the students would then go from one class to another to just joke around, gelak-gelak and be completely annoying to those goody 2 shoes yang asyik "Shhhhh" even when someone cough. And yeah, I don't study much during those prep time. Bile warden or the teacher in charge datang, mula la semua bertempiaran lari. Especially kapel-kapel yang jumpa discreetly di depan class or tepi tangga ituuuuu.

Balik from bercuti
Its not exactly fun to be back from home and face the strict regime of boarding school life. But the highlight was when the kids brought back home-cooked/made food courtesy of their mother. Bile malam/petang tu masing-masing kumpul all yang mom dah bagi, Nasi Ayam, Ayam Sambal, Nasi Lemak and all that to have a mini feast on the dorm. Each tasting a lil bit of everything. I also remembered one of my friend; I think Kureng, (we called her Kureng, her name is perfectly lovely) whose mom always gave her this REALLY ULTRA DELISH homemade pineapple jam. It was incredibly gooood. We finished her jam in about a week, slathering it generously on our cream crackers.

Okay, those are the few ones I could think of and the post is getting a tad bit long anyway. I think Shu and Aidil would have a few things they would agree or disagree on what they think was fun on the day to day life during SBP kan kan kan?

Poos Pooh

Nah. Post untuk Dila. Heh. Eh for y'all too, tapi especially for her sebab die mention die suke post Fasha. Haha. I think I need to have a separate labels for Fasha now.

Back to the tale. Fasha cirit birit smalam. Yesterday bile tuan die panggil dari kat belakang, "Fasha, balik!". Die buat tak endah je and just duduk melanguk di tangga rumah belakang. Kucing durhaka. Huhu... So malam tadi, instead of sleeping in our room as usual, die berjaya melepaskan diri dan berjimba-jimba di belakang rumah sepanjang malam.

Then pagi tadi dengar my sis memekak kate Fasha cirit birit and her ekor is full of taik. Hunting her down pagi tadi, she is lazing on top of my sis shoes and her smell is... well.. as you would expect what taik kucing would smell like. I think die gi berak bersepah tah mana2 outside. Blergh. Picking her up, I saw the poo smears on her tail

My MSPAINT skill is infinitely better than Perez Hilton, thank you very much.

I have half a mind to put her in the middle of the lawn and hosed her down. But that would only leave the grass wet and my cat out of sight, terrified for her life. So terpaksalah I picked her up and with the maid, we close the door and proceed to wash the dried poo out in the bathroom. Had to use my fingers to pry some of the poo out of her fur ok. Ugh.

And the puss is not grateful at all. She scratched and meowed loudly throughout the whole ordeal. Oh, I had given her bath before, she scratched and meowed too but this time as we need to really scrub her, she protested way more harder I guess. At one time she even gripped one of toes painfully with her claw.

After an invigorating bath and some scrubbing from the towel, I put her in her cage so she will not run off into the nearest sand or dirt.

The box I drew there is her cage. I would be insane to draw her cage bars. She was not happy at all, and kept on giving me disgusted looks while protestingly meowing. Haaa, tu la. Keluar sepanjang malam and makan tah hape. Kena la duduk dalam cage dendiam.

So there. After that I just scrubbed clean my hand and bersiap to go to work pulak.

p/s: Heh. Aku tak kuasa nak amik gamba la kan so I drew this for fun to add more colors (walaupon gamba itu tidak berwarna).

This blogger is not in the mood

to be all around joyous.

I feel

... tired.
... disillusioned.
... angry. (for no apparent reason)
... useless.
... ronery.
... sick of it all.

But where's my mood to blog nowadays. I can cranked up a long post full of words easily back in the days. Now, it seems hard. Do not want to badmouth people I know in here. Do not feel like I need to tell people on how I feel. Do not have the energy to update what I do in the day to day basis, cause that would bored you and me both to death. Nothing interesting. Nothing I am passionate about. Nothing to keep MY world revolve in brightly coloured hue ( a metaphor I used loosely, so I have no idea what it even means).

Tah la kan. Maybe I am just feeling a tad blues. Hurmp. Maybe tomorrow is a better day since today is so grey.

Cats and Mess

At first this photo was meant for my IG story, but the mess is too much. So I opted not to, and in a whim decided to just post it here. Beca...
