Ape lagi mahu

Honestly. The newspaper dekat country ni macam tadek conscience kan. Rase macam nak carik2 editor yang approve all these headlines today. I am not sure what they are trying to gain but they are treading in dangerous water.

That being said, I am gonna say this, schools should not be segregated according to race. While any races can enter the vernacular school, but the channel is left wide open for segregation. Then nak pelik kenapa racism berlaku. I don't understand the need of vernacular school. If they really want it, then make it like sekolah agama la. An optional school, after you had attended a 1Malaysia school that is attended by all races equally. Bebudak johor boleh je juggle 2 school hari-hari, so ok what. Semua happy. But no... these people want to make education as their political agenda, then nak pelik why we have a long way to go as 1 Malaysia.

Wow is this my most serious post in a while kan. Tee hee

Ok this topic is kinda reprehensible, so I am gonna stop here. Also I sangat mengantuk. Also jari ai sakit nak taip banyak2. I slept on my finger (that sounds weirdd), but it happens and now the finger is all kind of cramps and achey.

Oh ye. Husband is back for a while for a meeting. So hurray! Dengan itu I nak pujuk die pegi Pavilion sebab I nak squid ink pasta weekend ni.

Ending this post with this picture. Sekarang ni Bobby suke pulak ngendeng2 kat Ajis. Pantang la pintu bilik tu bukak mesti nak masuk nak join jadi baby sekali.

The Old Couple Again

Last year there was a post which I mentioned that whenever I used to go to work early morning at 4 a.m. (zaman call center), I used to see these old Chinese couple out for a walk. I seen them again last year after I got back from my mamak session at 4 a.m.

Older and wearier now as last year I think that was the only late night mamak session I had hence the encounter. Nowadays the thought of staying up til 2 a.m. is unbearable because no matter how late I slept, I'll wake up before 10 a.m. in the weekend.

Anyway, I always assume they went out for a really early morning exercise walk as they always walk together with white hand towel around their shoulder .

Last week Kurap decided to stay out overnight. Even with incessant calling of "Kuraaaappp" at the front and back of the house, nary a fluff of that orange, black and white fur can be seen. Seperti ibu yang risaukan anak dara die yang lagak bagaikan bohsia, I kept on waking up and found myself at my bedroom window to see if I can catch a glimpse of her tail in our front yard.

Saya maseh virgin dan inesen

So around 3 a.m I woke up and went to the window. Dengan keadaat yang sangat vision impaired ( kenapa tah I tak pakai spek dan perasan I can catch a glimpse of Kurap spec-less sedangkan bentuk manusia pon mengagau je aku agak ) I saw someone is crowding around our tong sampah. Raba-raba for my spec afterwards, I saw the same old couple I mentioned rummaging through our rubbish to see if anything can be brought to be sold ( the usual ya know, tin, cardboard, old newspaper). They are interested in our rubbish because earlier that day husband was seized with a cleaning frenzy that only directed at the shoes cabinet (targeting my shoes!!) and we threw out all the no-longer-used shoes and the many, many shoe boxes.

So I watched them as they carted off the plastic that contained the shoes and its boxes in their wheelbarrow. I felt a bit sad as I watched them. I had wondered beforehand if they have kids, because they always seems devoted to each other and it is just be nice to know such couple are blessed with good kids, and I wonder now if their kids know what their parents are doing at 3 a.m. and feels okay with themselves. If these supposed kids exist. If not, well, I feel a little bit sadder.

p/s: Kurap kembali ke rumah esok pagi dengan gembiranye after I found her frolicking at a neighbor house that is under renovation. Balik-balik je terus baring tunjuk perut asking for a rub and pat session. Instead she got a bath which she was not pleased.

Me

It is hard to give explanations to people that ain't thinking too fondly of you on why you act a certain way. However I think with age, many of us just stop giving the explanations altogether.

I used to feel annoyed or angry when people started judging based on a 5 mins intro or worst of all story yang dijaja-jaja oleh orang lain. Nowadays, I couldn't give a crap and if they say they are surprised that I am like this, like this, like this or they think I am (proud, not nice, stupid, bla bla bla ) , I will be very dismissively accepting that this people and this don't like me and I know about it but I won't do anything about it. Why you want to win over the people that don't like you? Why spend all those energy to people who don't give a chance and make a quick judgment about you?

And people is entitled to their opinion. I will not stand to lose anything by not being friends with you and nor do you lose anything by not being friends with me. I am not so high and mighty to think that I have so many things to offer people in term of friendship. I am brusque. I don't know how to express sympathy. I lose patience easily. So I am appreciative instead of the people who still wants to get to know me.

I don't know where this post started from, but maybe from all these unpleasantness floating around. Basically stop giving out craps to people and don't stand for other people craps either.

Gosh I really need to potong my kuku. And tomorrow is a holiday. Yeay!

Animal trouble

Many of you know that I am a huge huge fans of cats. All shapes and sizes. No matter how mangy they look. Tho I do not cuddle the mangy ones, but if I saw a truly decrepit looking stray cats, I felt horribly guilty that I am unable or do not help them.

Those old to this blog knows that Fasha is rescued from beneath a rock in a drain though she doesn't like to be rescued. Kurap come to the house looking for foods and stay there and remains one of the most affectionate cats I ever had. Most people like Fasha because she is a beautiful cat and some express their opinion in adopting her. She is more popular compares to Kurap. But Kurap is the most abiding cat ever. Except for the time when she pooed on our bed and carpets. Fasha is not so much. I don't think she much cares about human opinions.

So while sometimes Fasha enrages me, I couldn't give her away because I am afraid most people wouldn't stand for her annoying habits in peeing everywhere. She also like to eat rubbish that is bad for her so if I let her be, she will then start to have more problem in peeing (peeing blood, more frequent pee everywhere) so I have to be vigilant in keeping Fasha as an inside cat so she wouldn't terrorize the neighbors with her pawing at rubbish like some common stray and peeing at neighbors house (yes, it happened many times). After quite some times, our house is now cat-escape proof. This unfortunately resulted in Kurap being treated as a full inside cat too.

What this means for us, is that I can't open the windows at the house unless I am sure that the cats are safely locked away at the back. I can't let myself forget to close the windows because Fasha can quickly smells her way out of the house. I also have to keep all food rubbish (tulang ayam, tulang ikan, kulit udang) sealed in some tight container if it is not yet garbage day because Fasha would sepahkan these rubbish everywhere. Fasha antics nowadays is tearing at the tissue everywhere. T_T .

Having cat is a fuss. Especially if the cat needs extra attention. Medically, behavior. However having these 2 creatures in my life when I am lonely far surpassed the troubles they caused (broken glasses, broken electrical equipments, various cleaning after bodily liquids ). When they deign to let you pat them, don't that make you softer and gentler inside?

So this post maybe to remind you that pets are awesome. However it comes with responsibility. If you do not want to have loads of kittens later to take care of , neutered your cats. If you have male cats, have a bit of responsibility to not let it go impregnate every pathetic stray it can get. Those kittens that you found annoyingly mewing at the back of your house, can be a part of the problems you created if you let your male cats unspayed and roaming around. It annoyed me to find a lot of people giving away female cats and just keeping the male because they do not want to have the added responsibility of future kittens. I wouldn't trade Kurap for 5 male Persians okeh.

I think I took a bit of the animal loving streak from my late dad. My mom was always telling us that he used to bring various animals from the jungle. He found a pack of puppies where the mother was dead / abandoned it and took it home. My mother kicked up a fuss for him not to keep the dogs. I think he managed to find some people who is willing to look after it. There is even some story about he found a tiger cub separated from its mom and wanting to take care of it but my mom told him to go back and put the tiger cub back to the jungle and let the mother tiger found the cub before the mother tiger found us. LOL ( and I really could not remembered if this story is true or not).Still, my dad was a bad ass with a heart of gold okeh. Did I mention that he wanted to buy me a horse that I'd pestering him about but my mom (again? mom!) told him no because wherever he wants to put the horse at ? ( my mom told this story and I didn't remembered it. My husband is tickled whenever he is reminded of the story) While I don't think I can muster to take away a tiger cub lost in a jungle, maybe there's a tiny bit of my dad in me.

I have no idea what's the point of this post. It started with feeling guilty about unable to save these poor cats, then it got to the topic of Fasha and Kurap, and neutering and spaying responsibility and my dad loves for animals!  At the start of the post I just wanted to say I added some widget that shows the animals in need of adoption and just take a look there! Hoh!

So laters! And don't be too hard on the mangy strays the next time you are eating at a place full of cats. They are abandoned by people who couldn't care less and teach your kids not to be cruel to the poor creatures, even if you don't like animals.

The world was and is fucked up

I was reading some news, about the brutal killing of a girl and wondered if the world had become more heartless.

Then somehow, I was brought to the memories I had when I was in my primary school, maybe because the name of the victim reminded me of one of the girls in primary. In my all girls school there used to be 2 kids that is mentally handicapped (I am not sure what exactly the correct term, mentally challenged maybe?). One of the kid is a bit obnoxious since she talks and brags a lot and us kids being bratty kids, we looked down on her when we should be more understanding. However, looking back, I don't think that she ever realized that, and if she did she never shows it. I am glad nonetheless that I always had my manners on when I talk to her as young and naive as I was.

The other girl is even more pitiable. Even back then us bratty girls pity her. She is painfully shy. She was a big girl, somewhat disheveled but always with a smile on her face I don't know exactly what her illness might be, just that she is very awkward, smiles a lot, and often you don't really know if she really understand what we are saying. I can't remember of hearing her voice. Maybe she did talked, but it must be rare that I have a problem remembering it. Day by day in school I think she just going through the motion, copying what other does, but never understanding. However even from such a young age, she is what you might called, her body matured. While many of us, were flat chested, she already had big breasts.

And I can't remember exactly how we know this, but she must have told someone, we heard that a group of boys harassed her after school. Sexually harassed by trying or even got to fondle her boobs. She was depressed for some times after that. And us girls are horrified and angry for her. At the time she was like a 3 year old child stuck in a 12 year old body. And this group of boys thought it would be ok to molest a mentally ill girl.

So the state of the world even then is just as horrifying as it is now.

I wondered what happened to those 2 girls. I hope they received a good care that they deserved.

The youngest is the fairest of all

I am still reading Grimm's Fairy Tale. Many of the stories in it that deals with a young man finding a good maiden, if there happens to be a choice to be made among sisters, it is always the youngest of the sister who is the most fair, have the most goodness of heart or the most clever (well rarely a heroine in Grimm's is clever). Wouldn't it be the youngest is the most foolish thus less worthy of a happy ending?
Is it a custom a long ago to view the youngest among all the available women , as the most desirable. What am I asking? In the age of Botox, of course the younger you are the better you are perceived.
Initiall I want to say this in twitter tapi its too long. So mobile blog it goes.

Amidst it all

I was reading the reviews on 'I Spit On Your Grave' and horrifyingly despite the reviewers pleas to not fall into the producers expectations; incredibly bad reviews to draw audiences out to see if its as bad as they say, I am a little intrigued.

Is it as bad as they say it is? Does the film only portray violence and nothing of value can come out of it? I noticed at first that Roger Ebert was disgusted by movies by Tarantino and movies like Kick Ass, where he said the movies just promote senseless violence. While in other reviews I found out that the reviewers are saying movies are depicting senseless violence because it is senseless. Violence nowadays is senseless.

So what exactly the movie should be? Should it portrayed the reality of senseless violence or bring a moral value or food for thoughts to the viewers to think about violence? Where does the line of portraying and promoting comes in?

And I am torn either way. I do think the violence and graphic sex need not be shown. Old movies does not showed it, and I think they give wonderful performances and audience know exactly the passion and feelings of the scene without those scenes.

Long ago, a kiss on the screen was considered as taboo. Cleavage can only be shown just a hint of it. (and in Malay cinemas I think we are going a backwards instead of 'forward', more sexiness was shown then rather than now). Nowadays for an actress to get a first best actress nomination ,they must at least show boobs to show their commitment to their roles (what gives?). Then, full frontal male nudity is not usually shown, but it is slowly getting there. So when I have kids, I will expect a full on sex show during family hours clearly showing vags and poles? ( And True Blood is not a show you want to watch with the whole family eh?)

I may watch my zombies flick and B rated movies about monsters eating humans, however... I have to say I squirmed whenever I watch movie in the like of Saw or Hostel. I hate torture porn. Yes, that's what it called. Torture porn. But I have to wonder too, if the other movies (of zombies and monsters) is the same thing. Fantasy violence is still violence. So where do you draw the line? When you squirmed watching it or when you enjoyed watching it? And why are you (and me) so proud when we say that we enjoyed watching these kinda things?

I mean there's ego, trolling... and there is just plain enjoyment. Like you wouldn't mind doing that to another person. And don't answer egotistically in the comments saying "I can watch Saw while eating and shagging a kitten.". I mean really... if you found yourself enjoying them, aren't you a little afraid of yourself?

Morning thoughts

I guess many knows about the commotions regarding the plan to build a mosque, nay! A prayer hall (surau) near the Ground Zero. I am not gonna comment on that. The comments and thoughts on blog Effi is enough to satisfy you (and I like that many commenters there are nice enough to not be an Internet asshole and agree to disagree).

What I am thinking of the many comments saying religion is the cause of war.

Is it?

I am always on the thought that economy (power and money) is the main reason. Religion, is just an excuse they are throwing to rile the pious commoners up to fight the war that they are waging while the perpetrator who thought of war sat nicely on their plump cushion looking at maps while trying not to yawn and the commoners are the one with the blood on their hands . The Crusades? Yes it is waged by the Church and the kings in Europe. Yes, it is about conquering of Jerusalem. But all I see is a control on a much revered holy site where if won brings them control on economy from pilgrims. Control on economy = Money =  Power. T\

But hey, I am just deducting from what I know and it kinda irked me that people dismisses religion as bothersome and cited this is the reason why there are wars in the world. I am sure there are a few misguided leaders citing religion as the cause and start a war. However from what I learned enough of the past wars it is an act of control over power and economy. They only needed a reason to conjure up to give these men at arms reason to kill each other.

So the fault of fighting for religion instead fall on the commoners?

I remembered the documentary regarding Pol Pot,  where the leader of a secret police division were interviewed and(kinda like Gestapo) is now living in seclusion. What he said, touched me. I can't find the interview but from what I can remember it goes in the line of. "Pol Pot maybe the leader. But many people here (who reported supposed traitors and caused many innocent people to be shot and hang) never even knew who Pol Pot is or what is their agenda. Yet we killed each other anyway. We are to blame too"

A lesson in race

A while back, I was walking at Midvalley Jusco looking for home things. As I type that, I felt like I am feeling old, where before this shopping meant shoes and clothes and bags and not pots and curtains and baking stuffs.

I walked past a salesperson with a new trainee by her side and heard her said

* "Kalau kakak yang macam ni, yang pakai tudung ni, ni Melayu."  She pointed at me. And I also thought ' Kakakkkkkkkkk'.

** "Haa, tulis tu..." She motioned to the new trainee to write this important point in the notepad that the trainee is holding.

I wondered what he would really write down in his notepad, if it would be something like 'scarf', 'not so dark skin' = Malay.

I wondered what he would make of my husband who have slant eyes, curly hair, fair skin = Chinese? Even though he's not.

I wonder if we are so easily defined in a few points.

I wondered too if he is Nepalese judging for his slightly dark skin, wavy hair and obvious ignorance of Malaysia race and culture.

Malay to English translation
* If the woman looks like this and wear scarves, she is a Malay
** Haa, write it down.

A pinch of romance never hurt but a fistful?

I was driving today and managing not to hit another errant motorcycle on the road, when I thought of something. On a side note, I always found myself hitting a motorcycle. Some are my fault, some are totally theirs. Damn it la, bile kereta bagi signal can you see that we are going into it and not prone to braking  semasa tgh membelok. Somewhere out there, there is a probably a voodoo impersonation of my car and me and someone is sticking a needle or playing dart with it.

BUT I DIGRESS YET AGAIN!

Mari start semula. I was driving today and somehow my mind flashed towards Mills & Boons. Girls would probably know it. Guys , some probably do. To those who don't...

Yeah. Those books. The covers that always have some ripped muscled men, with waxed chest. I meant those chest are waxed y'all but in the books, the guys are suppose to be macho? Whatever.  Back when I was in high school these books were hot! Girls brought them to schools in exchange for other titles of M&Bs that other girls might have. The schools administration kept on confiscating them too saying it is morally corrupt because of the quite descriptive sex scenes. No worries, we exchange our M&Bs at religious schools then where there were less 'spotchecks' .

After a few months of reading those M&B books I grew tired of them. It is always girl meet boy, misunderstanding occurs AND (little rant here) the misunderstanding is always because of the girl fault. ALMOST ALWAYS. And the misunderstanding ALWAYS happened just after a very hot sex.. Then there some hot making up to do with an equally hot make up sex scenes or at the very least a PASSIONATE KISS.

Because I am extra rajin today, I deign to make a flow chart of the usual M&Bs plot lines flowchart. Click on the image for a larger picture if you are squinting to read it.   And because I am not Effi, nor does this computer have or capable of running a Photoshop, I used MsPaint to illustrate my point. +1 Microsoft point?

So I turned to Judith McNaught, whom one of my high school mate when I was in SAKTI introduced to. She was obsessed with them. Now Judith McNaught stories are more interesting (usually the historical romance one) and she have more flair with words than the usual authors at M&Bs. But after reading some of her stories, I got a little bit, disconcerted as you might say. The cliches of the M&Bs are there but there is another thing. That is the hero is sometimes a complete jerk who can act violent towards the girl. Yes, in some M&Bs stories I read, the guy is somewhat violent and a jerk, but to my recollection they had never actually be violent towards the girl he is in love with.

In one of her book Whitney, I Love You, a hero got so angry when he thought the girl he wants to marry had lied to her and gave her virginity to another. So what the 'hero' did was that he practically rape her. To punish her. Right. In the scene, he seduced her into bed then before any warning, he forced himself on her. Then got horrified knowing she is a virgin. Ok, was. If it were me, I would kick him on the nuts and tell him to piss off. But no, the girl went all weepy on his arm. Gah!

Then if that is not terrible enough, the poor girl marry him because she 'wuvs' him or some nonsense like that. Then she got pregnant and the dumbass 'hero' husband suddenly thought that is not his baby and his wife was impregnated by somebody else. So he got all angry and violent and refused to see his wife leaving his wife brokenhearted. I don't know what to say to that except if she was raped by you earlier, I would say she deserved the right to go bone any gentlemen or peasants.

Then in another book, Double Standards (also by Judith McNaught). I can't remember exactly what happened but I did remembered that hero finding out that the girl, he is in love with is actually a liar and a schemer. So in a fit of rage he seduce her and then push her against a table painfully.Which the heroine then believed she totally deserved. Gah! Why the submissive attitude towards violence?

After that book, Judith McNaught books kinda lose their appeal to me. To be fair some of her other books are somewhat entertaining and devoid of violence. At least with these new sudden burst of chic lits authors, no matter how pathetic their heroine can be, I must say none of them would abide violence.

Though I do have to ask, why does all of the heroes I encountered in books must be at least 6 feet tall. ? Why, why, why? Okay, I have to admit that I myself have preference over tall men. But that is because I am short. So I would like to balance my offsprings DNA a bit. Which is why in my sadly pathetic novel-in-progress which is still in Chapter 6 after 2 years, I featured a 5 ' 5 hero! I mean, a relatively normal average height guy could be your Prince Charming! So don't discriminate authors and authoress! Let the short people have their adventures too!

Bah. I want to go home now

Ring Marks on tables are EVIL

Let me count the ways on how I like Dila/Erni.

1. I think she's kinda an awesome blogger. Opinionated mummy blogger who doesn't follow trend, but make up her own rules and ways.

2. Even dengan ade Ziyyad (son) and family, a job that I don't quite get what she really do, she makes time to do her crafts and even set up her own part time entrepreneur projects on her free time for extra income.

3. Sebab die bagi aku free coaster and even thrown in a felt hair clip for moi. (Aku treat hair clip itu as my birthday present sebab I got it 2 days before my birthday, teehee).

Hehe. Ok tak introduction 2 point di atas itu untuk mengipas orang yang bagi barang free?

So, Erni had kindly gave me the coaster, which is easiest the prettiest thing on my bare desk because I had not decorated or put up anything remotely nice at all on that desk for the past months.

The coaster is made of cloth so its washable. The design is pretty, my one is ala-ala Japanese blossom gitu.  The bottom side is plain pink, not the same cloth as the one you saw above but probably to indicate mana atas or bawah.I have not stress test it or anything, so I can't guarantee it would be stain free or can tahan heat up to 100 degrees. It does do whatever coaster is suppose to do, which is not leaves ring mark on table. Why this is a NO, NO? It is ugly.

I hate ring marks. Especially on glass tables. And also work desk, because work desk is normally white, thus any marks easily visible and if you had not used coaster regularly, when you are bored out of your mind and your eyes seems to be wandering to your desk surface you will go anal looking at those ring marks and will try to find some tissue or cloth or paper even to wipe those off to no avail because those long ago ring marks, are now to stay.

Jeeez. So any of you suffering from a bad case of OCD or ADHD (short span of attention which then eyes wander to desk), buy a coaster.Or you know, you can also contact Dila and asked her to make you one. (Herrmmm adakah ini bermakna aku akan tempted untuk mintak Dila buat coasters bentuk sheeps for me....)

The coaster up close.

Oh yeah, the felt clip ituuuuu. Thank you. I love it very much and are currently wearing it like this

Spot the sheep!

p/s: Yeah, I think I needed to make a post sooner or later on my sheep collections.

Some things

Oh yeah. I changed the layout again. I got a little sick of the blog template that I had for the few months, and suddenly really wanted to change. I quite like it. Clean and simple. So will add the usual widgets later on.

The thing with working in the middle of a huge sprawling shopping complex is the temptation to shop. Never really cave in to the whim before but this week I am sorely, sorely tempted to buy 2 pair of shoes. One is Andre Comfort, a gray, very cute shoes that have little crisscross on top. The other is Zang Toi red heels that just looks so sexy and incredible that I feel if wearing it I would walk sambil flip, flip hair and imagine windfan blowing hair (sebab itu kena flip) and fabrics all around like Gisele Bundchen on a photoshoot. Yes, walaupon, pendek, agak pear shape and have short stubby legs, sekali sekala perasan supermodel tak salah okeeehhhh.

Both cost a few ratus, and I don't spend that much on shoes. But walking past those shoes everyday does not make the heart grow less fonder ok.

My bladders are working against me. I mean I don't know how, but recently I can't hold my pee for long. Its like I had a forgotten gastric bypass and my bladders suddenly shrunk. I mean last week, I felt the need for the no. 1 just before boarding a plane. Nothing to it, as airports got loads of toilets.

Then after boarding the plane and right before takeoff, I feel like I really need to pee. Like right now and then. I wasss dying for the plane to get the fuck off the runway and glide up and leveled so the damn seatbelt sign can turn off, signalling me that it is A-OK to dash into the miniscule toilet. All that process took an agonizing 15 - 20 minutes. Mouthed off to my husband "Realllyyy need to peeeee" and he showed me the barf bag while making a show of peeing in it. That does not help okeh.

This also a problem in the office. The cleaner always opt to clean the bathroom during the time I needed it most. Gah! If that happened I dash off downstairs to the Gardens premiere RM5 toilet and showed my ISETAN card (at least if no shopping is done, the card is useful) since it is complimentary for ISETAN and ROBINSON's card members. Hah! Lagi clean, wangi and got perfume some more.

Ok. Enough toilet talk.

It is for me because esok aku cuti! Yeay!

Used and forgotten

I am a pack rat. Asked my husband. We sometimes have silly fight on whose stuffs is the most stuffs that stuffed the room, and he always accused my stuffs. I of course deny this because I would deny everything and am a rampant liar. But of course this is true. Ask me tomorrow and I will say otherwise though.

You get the gist of what constitues a pack rat.
  • The 8 year old jeans that had seen better day (fabricwise and figurewise both) that you do not wear but you still hoard because you hope you can get your 20 year old figure back one day and smile that satisfied smile when you pull the jeans up past your thigh and butts.
  • The countless perfume bottles and its BOXES that you saved and you hate to throw away because it cost a chunk of your money and damn it, if I paid RM200 for it, I will save em all!
  • The old eye shadows and lipsticks that you spent in a compulsive buy during a warehouse sale and you only applied once or twice and should have thrown away because who the hell put on a bright orange eyeshadow in the middle of the day.
  • The old magazines of Cleo and Women Weekly under your bed that you didn't throw out yet because you want to recycle but never do because you keep on forgetting to load to your car or called that uncle "Suratkhabar Lama" to a halt.

Maybe the stuffs would be a tad bit different for a guy.

The other thing that I hoard constantly is quite ok. Why OK? Because it's tiny and doesn't take much space. That stuffs; are the label price or tag of clothes and stuffs that are kinda nicely printed or cardboard made tag. Those make great bookmarks y'all. As I am always losing my bookmarks everywhere, those tag labels come in handy when I read book at other spot than my room so I don't get depressed when I lose my really expensive bookmarks I bought far from home.

Currently the book that I am reading and touting around, I used a label I took from the dresser. Never really notice it before but it was pink and cute and labeled 'Espire' in white font so what the heck. I briefly tried to remember then but failed on what stuffs this label came from. Nvm then .

Now this morning, while waiting for the computer to boot and load, I read the book awhile and closed it back again. Instead of putting the label in between the pages, I put it at the top of the book. After a while, I got a little bored, and casually looked at the back label to see the product tagline and read the word " Congratulations! You have chosen a product that is designed to give more pleasure to ....." And my mind goes... "whatttt.. when did I bought a lingerie...eh read further la Dils" and the next few line have "condom" on it. Oh. And I had brazenly left the tag lying around OR flaunting it (as I like to hold the label in my hand as I read) in God's know where for the past few days.

This comes to mind to another stuff that I used to use. Back in high school, everybody have big pencil boxes to fill the many, many colored pens to put in (to better write love letters with) and so does I. But where my pencil box differs was that I used the zipper bag that many department stores put panties they want to sell. You know the one, the clear case of zipper bag that have 3 or 4 panties rolled up nicely. I used that as my pencil case. And never really notice that it used to be a 'panties' case because I am daft like that and also cheapskate to buy pencil case. Why buy when you have a perfectly workable free zipper case aight?

So half a year goes still using the case and still not having a clue and only after walking in the store past the lingerie and underwear section I noticed the similarities. Hoh! But I shrugged it off and just continue using it, because no one ever mentioned or teased it to me. so what the hell yar. Unless I am known as the 'underwear case girl' behind my back, I really couldn't give a damn.

Hmmmm in this post alone, you all now know I am a pack rat, I recycle stuffs no matter how embarassing the thing is and I used pleasure enhancing product for family planning stuffs. Eh, we are all grown up here.

I feel

tired.

disillusioned.

very much not care about anything at all.

at a loss on what I really want out of life.

that everyone seems to be at a continent and I am stranded on desert, inhospitable island.

hopeless at my inability.

Maybe its Monday?

Amaze

I am amazed at

1. People who move their mouse by picking it up and putting it down repeatedly. I tried it. It doesn't work for me?

2. People who still like the new NKOTB (new as in this year release) songs. Giler annoying and its a pile of turd masquerading as music.

3. Fasha my cat yang maseh suke tido at my feet even though there is a big space on the bed next to me if my husband outstation.

4. Women who wear tudung yang berbelit-belit without using ANY pins and tudung mereka an lawa dan kemas walaupon di tengah ribut, angin bertiup sakan-sakan bahasa. Guna inner energy ke ape? Kalo aku, by 1 jam berlalu mula la serot berot, that one end dah pegi ke mana. Hish. Berpin-pin aku guna. Nampak sangat memang selekeh by nature. Wargh!

5. Those yang tak makan banyak, but still mahu nak pergi buffet Ramadhan di sana sini.

6. myself yang setelah sekian lama, berjaya habiskan Tale of 2 Cities by Dickens. Seriously... susah to pick up. I enjoyed David Copperfield and Oliver Twist immensely, but this story is just a bit blah to me though quite heartrending.

Sekian, ini sahaja yang saya boleh pikirkan untuk hasil coretan. Tah hape-hape.

It's written in the stars

During my single years, I used to love poring over those horoscopes. I would look into those nonsensical things and together with my BFFs (Seri, that is especially you) we would laughed out loud and said that this is all nonsense when all the while we were wishing its were true. Despite of me thinking that this is all very superstitious stuffs, when the newspaper comes in the first thing we would looked at was the horoscope. Then we would move in to the comic strips.

We were wishing for a soulmate then (and you know... just typing soulmate make 0.1% of my brain rots from stupidity). For that other person who will make us complete and set our insides in fire. If you know what I mean. So when we were dumped by our boyfriends then or get rejected we would turned into these horoscopes, looked it over meticulously over various horrible created sites (complete with blinking stars as the background) and we declared to ourselves "Oh, see... the sign say we are not compatible." Not because we are morons and the guys are a jackass.

But as I gotten engaged and then married, I never really care to look into the horoscopes again. Not even to know if I would amass a million dollars if I were to step in somewhere. (Well, if that were to be true, I would like to know it can happened without me even caring about horoscopes). I do not care what the stars predict my love life would be like and hardly glance at it nowadays. I know what it would be like. Be it hard or easy, we still have to get through it. Reading a paragraph of 'signs' that apply to 1/12 of the world would not help it if you yourselves are not ready to take care of the problem.

Like I said all of these star signs are nonsense and nothing more than a diversion right? The idea that these person born under these specific dates is wrong for you or your soulmate is just rubbish aight? But the weird thing is, all my past boyfriends seems to fall under the same signs. Only these 2 signs. Capricorn and Virgo. And my ex boyfriends, is more than just 2 y'all. Weirdly my husband is a Taurus.

Oh, and I'm a Scorpio. Heh.

A new place, new place to be lost in

Literally.

My office had just moved to the Gardens. Terasa grand and lavish y'all. And at long last, after berkerja selama beberapa tahun. (I don't count the years, tis too depressing) finally got meself a cubicle.

Ape? NO BIGGIES? Hoh. My first job, I have to share the desk with some older colleagues. Then I worked on shifts for 2 jobs which meant that we never got a desk that we can called our own because we are sharing with others and can change at will whichever desk we will be sitting on. Then for my current job, due to some office space problem we had to seat at a training table. Which is basically is just a piece of wood on all 4, masquerading as table.

Now... I finally got a cubicle of my own, (until some higher power said it is not to be) with DRAWERS AND KEY! GASP!

Well... now that excitement is over. The office is new. Still smelling of paint. Everything feels new. Even the road route.

Those who knew me, knows that I don't drive much. I hate driving. But I did it out of necessities Go to work. Buy stuffs. Anger some stuck up person driving a sedan. The usual. So my driving route skills is not much. Nor varies. I know how to go to Jalan TAR and back, only via one route. Know how to get to KLCC multiple routes. Know how to get to IKEA and back via one route. MidValley? Not so much.

So learning a new route to get to my new office is not easy for me oi! I can drive to Midvalley now quite comfortably. But getting back to Ulu Kelang? Well, yesterday I got lost in KL. Took the wrong turn and found myself in some roads I don't recognize. Wait! I do recognize it! After a few calls to husband and some few wrong turnings, manage to maneuver back to Ulu Kelang without panic attack.

Then today parking inside Gardens, I had stupidly driven past the designated parkings for the parking biasa and straight to season parking punyer basement. And the stupid thing is, once you gotten there, there's no other exit other than the way you came in. Urgh!

Well then. Lesson learned there. Lets hope, getting back home again today, I won't find myself on the way to Seremban pulak.

The disasters that are Heroes and 90210

Got no idea to blog. So aku curi idea from Watch With Kristin articles on how to fix Heroes and 90210.

We'll start with Heroes first.

The best things about it at first:
  • People who have superpowers
  • Geeks factored in and considered cool
  • Sylar
  • Clear defined arc with characters working together to "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World"
  • The wonderful HRG complicated character.
  • Hiro and Ando wonderful adventures in USA-land and Hiro-land.

The horrible things that start unravelling as 3 seasons past:
  • Sylar. The.Most.Self.Absorbed.Yet.Annoyingly.Boring.Villain.Ever.
  • Sylar sudden Daddy's Issues.
  • Sylar doing good and overcoming murderous impulse and just ... his storylines are beginning to piss me off.
  • Hiro becoming self-power-obsessed and continue to be childish with no character development.
  • Ali Larter keep on coming back after being dead. One time you are back after being dead, its fine. 2 times is pushing it.
  • Mysterious disappearance of recurring characters and how the writers just completely forgot they even existed. (Hello Caitlin. Hello Monica)
  • Each and every character becoming a bore.
  • Storyline was setup, idiotic endings without any means to tie up loose ends.

Fix Heroes?
These are the suggestions thrown out in the articles.

1. Kill everyone but Sylar and Jack Coleman's H.R.G.

2. Going forward, use only Sylar and H.R.G.'s given names of Gabriel Gray and Noah Bennet, in order to detach their characters from the existing bankrupt mythology.

3. Take Peter's original power of being able to absorb (sans brain-slicing) other powers and give it to Gabriel, but with the following caveats: Gabriel can only absorb powers intentionally, and every time he does that, he automatically loses an existing power, but he doesn't know which power he will lose until it's gone

4. Resurrect Kristen Bell's electric Elle.

5. Get Gabriel and Elle together as a superpowered Bonnie and Clyde, running from the law (in the form of Noah Bennet) and trying to redeem themselves. They can brood beautifully about their past misdeeds and try to create a functional relationship while moving from town to town using their powers to help the helpess. Meanwhile, Jack Coleman's Noah gets the thankless but essential job of hunting them down and trying to destroy their fragile relationship.

which are actually a pretty good idea! But I do like Angela Petrelli... so maybe in addition

1. Retain Angela Petrelli as the head of conspiracy for the new organization Noah Bennet will be running.

2. Sumbat Claire on campus and just let her have her Girls Gone Wild moments with bouts of heroics in saving people, with hilarious results of intervention from well meaning but creepy uncle Peter.

3. or.... for the writers:Stop introducing new plots, villains, heroes; get your shit together and just resolve your storyline clearly.

Now for the more terrible show 90210, for reason unknown I kept on watching

The best likable things about it at first:
  • A reboot of the much beloved show, Beverly Hills, 90210.
  • Reappearance of Brenda and Kelly. Woot!
  • The wonderful Jessica Lowndes as Adrianna. She is the only reason I kept watching.
  • The satisfactory feeling when the drama teacher mentioned that Annie sucks at acting. Heh.

The horrible things that start unraveling even from episode 1:
  • Annie. Enough said.
  • Rob Estes painful departure from cool cop in Women Murder Club to goofy dependable dad-principal of Beverly High.
  • The Spring Awakening production episodes, where Annie was asked to show her talents and being praised for her awful(30x magnified) dancing/singing talent.
  • Anna-Lynne McCord overacting and curled Singa hair. And whenever she sashayed anywhere.
  • Tori Spelling plastic surgery face and boobs which just filled me up in horror whenever she appears on-screen.
  • The terrible, terrible fashion.
  • Blaming Dustin Milligan (Ethan) that his storyline does not work, when it is clearly the main characters (Annie and Dixon).

Fix 90210?
There's no clear suggestion thrown out in the articles (as it just started to pinpoint the problems) but probably most people have no idea how to salvage this sinking ship who is still afloat due to the good graces of it predecessor.

Maybe they could...

1. Killed off Annie. Her parents can adopt some weird chicks from the slums, Veronica Mars style who would then start giving snark comments on Naomi's hair and Silver's obsession with leggings.

2. Stop making Naomi as a sex kitten. Tone her character down a bit. She is more interesting when being tone down. And asked the actress to close her mouth. Her mouth is always agape.

3. Gah, just cancel it off altogether and reboot My So Called Life. That would be more interesting.

Oh and I found it perplexing that many series focused on high school life, rarely campus or college years. Felicity was damn good ok.

Weekend & Games

Start with the weekend post first because, tomorrow is Friday!

The girls asked for a get together, and I was dying to try out some briyani at Zahrat restaurant after reading Peej's entry on her blog. You do not want to read her blog while hungry I tell you.

So kami berlima bersama skandal, husband and bf masing-masing (minus two yang tidak bawak plus one), decided to go there last Saturday night.

Peej had warned in her entry that it took some time for the order to come in, esp the one we ordered; Maghut Lamb and Chicken, so Sheema came prepared with UNO!

The winner = Sheema! Hoh! Ko jampi kad tu kat umah ke sebelom bawak? Hehe. But it does helped passed the time dan buat kami-kami ini kurang pikir lapar di perut.

Bile nasik tu sampai harus lah semua serbu Tak sempat aku nak amik gamba extra pon. Ni je yang ade. The kuah sedap, pedas. I like! Like I said we ordered the Maghut Lamb half kg and Maghut Chicken half kg. So the lamb is simply superbly delish. The chicken (pictured above) is quite good too. Bila teringat balik, terliur aku. It was quite cheap too. We ordered the Hummus with 3 breads, multiple drinks (almost each ordered 2 drinks for themselves), a salad, 2 maghuts, 3 desserts, the bill came up to RM170++. For eight people makan okeh. Best. But I think the next time bile ramai macam tu kena order 1kg each pulak because the guys makan macam tak puas.

Memang patut pegi lagi. But parking is a bitch, and pastikan kereta tak akan diblock oleh sports car pak arab. Hehehe.

Ok, that's that. The pics I promise aku upload this weekend in Facebook okeh? Rugi la Gohan ko tadek Facebook. Muahaha.

So now the games.

The past weekend, we had also been playing Monopoly and UNO. It was fun playing those boardgames and cardgames after I had not touched them for years. It helped that I have a brother yang super obsessed with boardgames and cardgames too. Hehe. Kalau main 2 orang ngan my husband je, gile mandom.

Then a few days back, my husband bought Monopoly Deal. A new game of Monopoly where you can play Monopoly via cards. Monopoly card games!

Gamba dicuri dari sini

It was super fun! Like any games, it takes a bit of time to adjust, then after you knew all the rules the games is pretty addictive. And I had won 3 times out of the 5 times we had played this! Woohoo! Because when I played Monopoly the boardgames, I rarely win. I think I won only once kut before. My brother said "Ko memang loser." Hehehe.

This game is best when you are playing with 3 or more. Great to bring along when you are travelling, or when you are simply just plain lazy to spread out the boardgames. Tapi kalo free weekend ni, I think I will still spread out the boardgame.

Now this makes me stoked to buy Cluedo. Tak penah main, but it sure looks fun.

Cats and Mess

At first this photo was meant for my IG story, but the mess is too much. So I opted not to, and in a whim decided to just post it here. Beca...
