Impending Wedding

I've been busy going here and there for my brother's wedding. Since sometimes I went alone or with my sister most of the bridal boutiques automatically assume this wedding is for me. Haha. Even the new maid at my sister's house thought that the impending marriage preparation is for my wedding because she had never seen my husband. This only shows that my husband had been away far too long. Bah! But it is still fun to prepare for the wedding. . My brother is like "whatever.. ", so the sisters are having all the fun. The downside to this is I'm broke.

Love & Other Drugs

I'd watched Love & Other Drugs. It was so sweet. Granted you need to watch it uncensored because there's a lot of nudity going on there especially involving Anne Hathaway boobs. And by typing that out, I'd guaranteed there will be some stray that will stumbled into my blog looking for that. Back to the movie, I thought it is gonna be more dark and serious, but most of the time it is funny and sweet. I did wish it'd been a bit more serious, but hey, it was still good. And I recommend it to you, watch with your friends ( to comment on Jake Gylenhall and Anne Hathaway bits) . Or your married spouse (for the same reason while laughing at the sex). I am not promoting for unmarried couples nor I tegah also.

I think I mentioned so many times I need to diet. Cakap banyak, satu haprak action tiada. And now I have to. My pants are now becoming leggings and I am severely unhappy about it. It is either wearing baju kurung all the time now or buying more pants which is not an option because, moi, broke, si? And wearing baju kurung all the time, is also like. NO. So come on Dila, don't be a fattie. Sigh. Exercise is such a chore. I am always incredulous when I heard of people saying things like " I love working out". Why can't I be one of those people?

X: Men & McAvoy

X: Men First Class trailer is now out. Despite James McAvoy in it, I am not impressed. The trailer underwhelmed me. So. Gah! Emma Frost looks hot though, but James McAvoy does not move me there. Please let it be good. The only James McAvoy coming out soon is Gnomeo and Juliet and he is not onscreen!

Well, sampai sini sahaja. I think it should be some time for some proper post. But I am not in the mood to be serious in blog nowadays!

Books!

Tomorrow aku cuti. Saje2. And kebetulan pula there is some World Book Day promos ongoing at BookXcess and I am so going there tomorrow morning to haunt their new bookstore. I am hoping for some good deals, and a bit excited if I can find some books that I had been itching to read at half of the price as the one in Borders. It always kinda irk me that Kinokuniya and Borders don't offer membership cards for their frequent customers. I do like Kinokuniya stores better than Borders though. A tad bit cheaper, bigger selections and they blared out great music. Also Borders placed their books haphazardly, author with surname start with K ade kat J, M ade kat L. Confusing. But given the choice, if I can get cheaper books elsewhere, I'll go there instead.

Speaking of books, I had started reading that trilogy Inkheart books. I am not sure if I can deem it as boring, but it seems to be by the first few pages I read it ( I can't seem to get past chapter 2). But the thing is that, the characters are extremely unlikable. And I hate how the author seems to hit the readers on the head repeatedly on how the characters seems to REALLY LOVE BOOKS. Really? Mr/Ms Cornelia Funke? Like I didn't get that, the last 50 times you mentioned it! Maybe I'll need to read another book first before delving further into Inkheart. Who knows, it may get better after the first few chapters.

Birthday!

Besok is my hubby birthday. Barf. Hubby. I had to laugh out loud when Taqi used "your hubby boo". That is the most sickening thing ever. Husband. I'll use and be using that. Senang kata, ni haa laki aku dah makin tua esok. So, besok birthday dinner! Yeay! Kalo aku rajin aku post pics.

And yesterday was James McAvoy birthday! Happy belated birthday and may your blazing blue eyes be blazing some more at the cinemas nearby for me to gaze adoringly at! Eik, and I am giddy!

I had just finished watching Penelope.

Oh my, oh my. James McAvoy. I was insanely jealous of Christina Ricci. Hukhukhuk.

The movie was sweet. It wasn't great. There are something that I guess that can be improved. But I like the overall whimsical tone of the movie. Reminded me a bit of The Royal Tenenbaums meet Amelie. Love those movies. And this movie is so sweet that it brought a blush to my cheeks.

Heh. That is what I called it. The feeling of giddyness. Like when you finally meet the guy you had been wanting to meet and you could feel your cheeks getting hot. Its a little bit like this. So yes. I like this movie. Though there are scenes or plot-holes I found myself questioning.

Nevermind those. I guess perhaps I love it more cause of James McAvoy. But Christina Ricci is sweet, though her character is kinda weak. I found myself liking Reese Witherspoon character more. Heck. I even like that Edward Humphrey Vanderman III character more. But there's nothing really grating with Penelope character, only something that I feel lacking. But of course, let me just say his name once more. James McAvoy. Ah Ha.

So Kenyang One

Bah!

So hard to be on diet when mom is at home cooking you several delicious dishes. My mom is the type of person who likes to cook and cook several dishes at 1 go and cooked like a football team is coming over after a match.

So far, none of her daughters inherited her talents. I am by far the worst. I do not however think woe is me. I tried cooking and I know it would never be my hidden talents. My future husband would be either too fat and miskin from eating outside food or too thin because he could not down my cooking. I am aiming for thin, as I never really fancy eating nasi campor outside.

Gah! I am so full. Anyway, I am eating a tad bit more rice than usual and feel like puking. This is not even a dastardly huge portion. A portion that any healthy men would scoffed at obviously, but I can't down that portion nowadays, but I won't beat myself too badly as before dinner I downed a Filet-O-Fish and swore to myself to only keep on buying beefburger after this .Gah! Hate Filet-O-Fish.

The fiance and I decided on a McDonald dinner (snack for me... teeeheee), as I need to bring my really filthy car to the carwash. My favorite carwash is the (dulu ProJet, now for the life of me I can't remember what it is) carwash at the Petrol Station where it have McDonald and hot men washing away the cars with their muscly arms covered in suds and shirt dripping wet. Wahahaha. That sounds like a sentence from a Mills & Boons novel. Now what brought this 'gatal' sentence around? Now, most of the car wash around KL are manned by those 'Bangladeshi" or Indian or Nepalese or mane2 la they came from. So are this one, and the usual type are there, but there is this one guy who is SERIOUSLY smokin hot.

Now, I rarely meet a real flesh and blood man who is truly HAWT. Even if I would ever meet James McAvoy in person, I doubt I would called him hot ( I am enamored by him, not totally blind, so that's fine Effi, I know his dick is short). Now, those who know me, know I love those Hindustan movies. (I heard gagging out there, don't judge. ). Most of those Hindustan hero is so-so, SRK is passable (but he got such cheeky smile and twinkling eyes), Hrithik Roshan is blah, Saif sounds like a duck, Salman Khan needs hair plugs. Now the hero Hindustan who are truly hot are John Abraham and Arjun Rampal. (Strangely, hot as they are, their movies bored me to death.AND. I know, I know, I will kill myself tomorrow reading this post for admitting to the world on my obvious adoration of Hindustan and Hindustani Adonis).

Ok. This hunky guy that is washing my car. He looked like John Abraham and Arjun Rampal rolled into one. He got the most perfect hair I ever seen real life. A tad bit oily praps, but he worked himself a sweat going over those car, I won't hold that against him.  And his body is almost perfect. I do think he need to cut down on those McDonald Coke a bit yar. Chiselled chin, deep set dark eyes. Hellooo Hindustani producers! You let yourself a hottie away here!

My fiance rolled his eyes (prolly he is still rolling his eyes when he read this post) whenever he saw me grinning like a dimwitted fool when we are at the carwash. Bah! He understands. I would let him drool over some hot chicks or model later. One that is truly hot OK! I would be insulted if she is only passable. But really, I can't help it. I rarely, rarely would find/found a hot man. *pssssst... I do think my bosses are hot too, but bosses don't count* (Even in my brief holiday time at UK I thought, none of the guys looked hot or even good looking. Except one, but he is REALLY short. Almost my height. And he kept smiling at me. I think its mostly prolly he was pleased that he finally met a midget too ). But really, when I saw him, my head goes like MAN CANDY! MAN CANDY! MUST LOOK AND GRIN LIKE AN IDIOT!

Idiotic Dila.

Why I think that I will not be watching The Hobbit

1. Hobbits are short

I found that it is hard to find pics of the hobbits and the regular tall people. Prolly my search skills sucks

2. They are short with gross looking hairy feets


3. Guillermo del Toro disappoint me with Hellboy II. But I guess I have big expectations after Pan's Labyrinth. (Tho to be fair.. I am in awe with with Hellboy II, just the plot kinda blah)



5. I couldn't be bothered to read the 2nd and 3rd part of LOTR. Much less Hobbit.



6. I never really like Bilbo Baggins in the LOTR movies.

TV Gossip is my coffee

So early this morning, heard that Shannen Doherty is in talks to come in the remake/rehash of the new show Beverly Hills 90210. Whooop! Yeay all around. I miss Shannen Doherty. I no longer watched BH 90210 when she no longer around back then (the college and the working years sucks too). I even miss her in Charmed though I don't hate Rose McGowan (as she is so white-liciously babelicious.. and yeah, the fact she used to date Marilyn Manson drop her points a bit, but she still a babe) I was just thinking that I could afford giving the show a miss. But Brenda back again to terrorize the people at BH? Hell yeah, I will be watching!

I do hope that the actors won't go into strike! Its going to sucks if we would have a 10 eps per season again.

So I heard the awesome movie which is REC which I have YET to watch (SO NO SPOILERS PLZ) but the DVD is currently languishing at home waiting for me to pick it up are going to be reamericanize remake by Quentin Tarantino. Hurmmm... Maybe I will watch it this weekend. Maybe not. Hmmm as long as I watch it first before the Tarantino's one is out.

Oh.. read somewhere that they (had/want to?) sign up James McAvoy in doing a Wanted sequel ( of course, since they got loads of profit from that movie). The down side is that it seems really far fetched (not to mention spoiling the first movie) if they somehow manage to revive Fox again and another thing. The fear of the curse of a sucky sequel! The up side, James McAvoy! Yeay! Though I kinda doubt he wanted to sign up again for the sequel. Let's see if tis rumour hold any grain of truth.

They are really pulling all kind of stop for the this upcoming Batman movie eh? All sorts of posters had come up even as early this year. I am kinda harumph with all of it but I kinda like this one.




Racking up my brain for any e-news related thingies that I want to squeal about. But couldn't find any... Anyway will be watching Hancock tomorrow.

Dils Version of E-News Update

Am still incredibly bum out on the cancellation of Moonlight. Sobs.

Just watched eps 10 of Reaper. Agreed. It is getting better.

Season Finale of Grey's looked promising. Nice to see a change of pace for that irritating Meredith is a wreck plotline.

Heard some of the songs from the new album "Narrow Stairs" by Death Cab for Cutie. Currently loving 'Bend to Squares". Still unsure on the album and the rest of the songs.

Watched a video of James McAvoy acceptance speech. I almost squeal out loud in the office like a little girl receiving pony for birthday hearing that lovely lilting Scot accent.

Which brought me to this amazing poster of Angelina Jolie for the movie Wanted. Can't wait for this movie. If anyone can convince me to have some lady love... Angelina Jolie would be it.


There is no decent poster of James McAvoy for Wanted. Gah! How can this be! So puny, one! I demand better view of him than that!


Wait... I still haven't watch The Other Boleyn Girl. Argh! (How that is relevant to James McAvoy is irrelevant)

Added: Had you seen Joss Whedon's new series Dollhouse trailer? It looks like it gonna rawks! Something like Alias + Dark Angel. Oh... but its gonna be hard to think Eliza Dushku as anyone else but Faith.
