Menu day to day

 

Just one of my meals. 

The lockdown had also forced us and me to cook more. The above is nothing special, just telur dadar, kobis lemak and asam pedas daun kesum with ikan tenggiri. 

I never made asam pedas, but the kids seems to like it so much and it is a simple meal actually. I always thought it is annoying to prep. But not really. I tried to make asam pedas daging last night, and it was good too except the kuah is much too pekat, next time need to add more water. 

I even tried to make mini chicken pot pies, where at first I want to try to do the pastry from scratch, but I remembered I had some pastry puff in the freezer and used that instead. I like how it turned out. I didn't take pics of it, because it is no beauty but it does taste nice. Maybe next time. I will try from scratch. If I can do that, maybe the next time I will do the beef stew pies ( I love those!) . 

Okay. Gonna have some breakfast now. 

Home bake (Picture not pinterest worthy!)

It is Friday, and compared to last week Friday, today is a much more mellower Friday. Thus. I like! 

Last Friday was insane. There was an issue of sorts, and then my boss started berating me in front of everybody basically saying I am not doing my jobs in updating stuffs ( which I did, he have selective memory is our running jokes in this office) . 

I was in the midst of updating ( and I am not really feeling to tell the whole story here about the issues, biasa la issues at work kan, lagi2 if dealing with payroll) and he basically stopped me halfway in doing my job, just to vent. All the while he is 'bla bla bla ing' I was thinking... this is not productive at all. So I just stopped him and go somewhere else to get updates. Honestly. Most of the time when he is berating, he just wants to vent. But last week, I just can't. Don't vent in the middle of the office boleh? 

Ok. So that is my vent. 

Anyway, I had been firing my up my oven recently. Maybe because stress just makes me wanna eat more. 

It was my mom birthday and I make lemon cake with frosting. This is an achievement of some sort because this is the second time I tried to make frosting, and it turned out, not bad. First time was a raging failure. Well, the second time it was kinda fail, but then I am the sort who hated to waste thing. Macam kalau tak jadi takkan nak buang all these butter and sugary concoctions kut! Butter and sugar mahal taw! 

So I read that if your frosting don't really fluffed up even if followed instructions to a T , it can be because the temp is really hot. So putting it in a fridge can help, so yeps, I put my frosting in a fridge and after about an hour or so, it begin to fluff up again. LOL . Dapur panas sangat kut. 

My frosting skills is still a lot lacking. Hahahaha. I don't really have cake stand or proper plate for cake so it is kinda hard to frost. Leceh betul. Nak tunjuk gamba atas pon mcm segan. Tapi ini adalah bukti! Saya masak kek. 

Probably will buy a cake stand next. Considering, selalu jugak la bake. And I think dengan bulan puasa tak lama lagi ni, I will again bake the usual date cake again because I want to use up the extra dates that we usually got. 

So last weekend to get away from the stress of that issue, I bake some brownies sebab I promised bebudak yang tolong solvekan issue tu 'belanja minum'. But we rarely go out anywhere and there is not any Starbucks or chatime nearby. Bake aje lah brownies senang and give to them. 

I used a previous recipe for brownies that I had also updated the link here in this blog. Brownies kali ni manis sikit, sebab instead of the usual cooking chocolate, I used some chocolate biasa that I have LOADS of in the fridge. My husband beli chocolate banyak gile last time he went to Turkmenistan. So it is a bit manis. Cut down the sugar in the recipe to just a quarter since there are also chocolate chips in them. 

This brownie recipe should have frosting, tapi aku tak kuasa. It feels too much like a cake plak kalau brownies ade frosting, to me. 

The people at the office likes it, so ok la. Mission accomplished. 

Next plan to bake is either, soft cookies for the kids or cupcakes. Probably cookies kut. Maybe next weekend lah. 

Briefly to Melaka

Ok. You can't have it either way is it? Either the job is relaxed and you don't learned anything or super stressful but learning a lot. Huhu. Though I am beginning to feel a lot of dissatisfaction .  And tired. So tired. 

Anyway. Last week we went to the Bayou Lagoon Melaka for some family gathering. It is only for one night but the kids had fun. 

They are absolutely no pictures taken when we are at Bayou Melaka. LOL. 

There are pictured of the kids munching on nuggets though. It was jam all the way and we settled for some KFC on the go. Since KFC nuggets is really good the kids enjoyed it. Saif lah paling suke. He hates rice nowadays. 

We reached Melaka just in time for check in. Petang tu terus bawak bebudak gi mandi, and because I didn't bring an extra pair of underwears ( terrible I know), I pon malas la masuk pool. Have to buy some bikini underwears from the hotel later on. LOL. 

Semua orang malas keluar hotel. My sister and BIL went out to tapaw seafood for us, and even then I am incredibly full sebab my mom dah bawak bekal nasi lemak banyak. Malam tu some of us decided to go out to Bandar Melaka. Kekonon nak gi Jonker Walk, tapi Jonker Walk tutup, nan hado. Haha. I didn't go out pon sebab I am too mengantuk, preferring to just sleep with Saif. 

Then besok pagi tu after breakfast, the kids played in the pool and I kemas2 barang2 untuk checkout. Sekejab je kan. Then my sister ajak pergi Freeport. But start masuk Alor Gajah , jam ok nak gi Freeport. My eldest sister patah balik makan cendol bakar je which is on the way back, sebab die tak jumpa parking. The others found parking including us and decided to go terus. Alang2 dah bersesak. 

Sebab it is like the middle of the month and I had just spent money on clothes, was not too keen to go shopping pon. It was ok la. Exactly like JPO, as for the stores , I don't know. I think I prefer Mitsui Outlet, just because the stuffs there are more affordable and .. air conditioned. Haha.. My husband bought a shirt and that is it. But memang ramai manusia, and they have food trucks at the entrance which is good because I remembered going to JPO during lunch hour masa awal2 bukak dulu and we don't have much choice either you eat at food court which don't offer much or expensive restaurants. The food truck were a big hit. They also have some ice coffee/frap stands which is a good idea since it is a hot day. 

Balik tu kite orang makan durian sebab I dah excited nampak durian.

It is still not cheap. We bought durian sultan I think.. which is for rm36 kut. It was good durian, but I had better. My sister ingatkan stall ni yang buffet durian tu, Haha. No lah, I think my limit untuk makan durian adalah 2 biji kut. That is on a good day. Nowadays 1 durian pon dah cukup. Aziz taknak makan, Saif is eager for more than just a few taste, tapi I tak berapa bagi sangat. Haha,

Hari jumaat petang tu dah sampai KL. Tu pon lewat sikit sebab I nak ikut jalan lama2 sebab on the way pergi Melaka the day before tu I perasan ade orang jual daging salai. 

Terus beli 1 kg worth of daging salai. I tak tahu la mahal ke murah, but cheaper than the packed one in Jusco, which sells around RM20 for sekali makan ( for 2-4 people). 

Yang ni die bagi RM40 per 1 kg. So I bought 1 kg and gave half to my sister. Cukup la untuk 4 kali buat masak lemak. Daging salai selain with kerabu or masak lemak , untuk lauk ape lagi ek? 

My sister said kena simpan dalam freezer kalau tak berbulu. Huhu. So this is all the one going to the freezer. 

Ok. Will promise to update more. Heh. 

Keep Calm and Carry On , so overused yet so apt

WORK

Got nothing to do at office. Still wrapping stuffs. Oh my contract work here is gonna end soon and only 2 out of 4 people I believed are offered to continue. But I am fine about it because I don't think this is the job for me and am happy for the other 2 because this is great opportunity for them. It was always stated that they hired us so there are more people on hands during the business downtime tu.

I may or maybe not have a job after this. Waiting on an offer. Not too psyched about it, but I also do not want to complain much because people are losing their jobs right and left in this economy and soo many companies especially the one I want in KL are now in a hiring freeze. But like I said, there is no official offer yet, lets seen. In the mean time duduk ofis and keep calm and wrap books on.

KIDS

The nursery teacher whatsapp me informing me that Saif have a fever and bile sampai rumah found him fussing and crying and with a high temp. He was being very clingy. So mengantuk. He kept on pooping every 2 or 3 hours with intermittent muntah all over me sebab die nak tidur atas mommy die. Husband offered to take EL so I datang lah ofis and he takes care of baby. Saif at the cliniic now I guess. 

Aziz macam biasa die la. We are still trying to toilet train him, tapi sebab we all sendiri tak konsisten so tak berapa nak jadi. But during raya haji nanti the nursery and preschool tutup for a week, and we decided at the time. Tapi die resisted jugak . Macam last weekend tak pakaikan diapers kat die. Die punye lah marah. He came down to the living room and gave me his diaper cakap " Aziz bukan big boy!" Sebab bapak die cakap.. big boy tak pakai pampers. He was so uncomfortable not wearing diaper so we give him undie to wear. Haha. Ah well.. tengok camne lah nanti. 

FOODS 

MINE! ALL MINE! Husband punye teammates mana yang balik dari Turkmenistan bring back this whole plastic of chocolates for me. I especially love that Alpen Gold. I told him beli yang Alpen tu je, yang lain2 tadek takpe. Hehe.

My morning drink. Dan gua ni cheapskate. I don't use the whole packet in one mug, I usually used only half and keep it for another day or later in the day. Partly cheapskate partly I memang suke watery drinks. Haha.

Dan semalam I went to a cafe at my office to enjoy a chicken chop all by my lonesome. Sebab bile keluar dengan bebudak I usually akan order benda yang senang I nak makan satu tangan, satu tangan lagi sebuk pegang budak la ape la especially Saif clingy tu, So nak makan chicken chop kena la pandai cari time. Gitu. Haha. 

Huh. Semalam macam banyak je mende nak update. Tapi bile ade idea tu, time tu sibuk nak balik. SO malas. Heh. Laters then. 

Mixes

I cant think coherently. So I para-blogging (paragraph). Hehe

I like Boost. In fact sometimes I found like I craved for the juice. I don't care much about the smoothie or the frap type of thing. Tapi juice die very nice la. So heard nice things about La Juiceria. Tried it. And bleurgh sebab I think I chose something that is not to my liking. The ingredients are Orange, Turmeric, Carrot, Celery and Pineapple. But it should have just advertised only Celery sebab that is all I taste. Sekarang tengah minum Milo sambil intermittently sipping the juice. Hehe. 

Because the critical time for our job here is over our team here in MY have a lot of free time. So free that I decided to bring my books to the office. No . Not for reading , well yes, a bit of reading but only during lunch hour lah. But balut buku with plastic. I had always been very anal about wrapping my books before I started to read em, so with this much free time, I figured like.. why not lah. The only thing annoying is that my bags are full of books. Tapi tak banyak pon, Dalam 4  buku je kut I bawak everyday. Over sangat bawak banyak2. 

Oh yes. I am currently reading Sookie Stackhouse Series and it is very very good. The last BBW, I had finally able to buy some of the books to complete my collection so it is now time to start reading it. Because I don't want to get Sookie fatigue so I paced myself where I will read Sookie series in between 2 or 3 other books. 

Husband is whatsapping me saying that he brought Saif to his swim session setelah sekian lama tak pegi. Saif got a mild asthma for a while so we stop his swim session and didn't bathe him in the evening for the longest time. Haha. Sekarang baru ok sikit. Semalam bile weekend penuh, so I said to my husband bile die free and rase nak bawak time petang, bawak je la. Tunggu weekend susah sikit, we always have plans kan weekend. Weekdays tak ramai sangat orang. 

I feel really lazy to cook nowadays macam setiap kali balik macam penat semacam. Padahal no work tapi still penat! Haha. I think this was on Thursday ? Can't remember I was not feeling up to it and Saif was screaming, so I just said to husband beli la ape2. Aziz request burger and seeing him eating burger is so cute and also strucked me for many many time that he is becoming a boy. No longer a baby. 

There is a carboot market of sorts at Melawati every Saturday. It was an oklah. The usual secondhand clothes type of thing. I went there nak cari seluar untuk Aziz as he is growing so fast nowadays dan semua seluar die dah senteng. Dulu mak die keje kat Midvalley so selalu sangat la mak die bershopping kan. Nowadays no time sangat lah. Melawati lah kite. Hehe. Seluar tadek, barang kucing ade! Bought this cat scracther that have some sorta toy hanging inside it and the cats love it. I consider that RM20 well spent if they are using it. You can never know with cats!

When life gives you lemons

Yesterday was my husband birthday.

And I baked him brownies since my husband is more into brownies than cakes! It was not a very successful brownies. I should just stick to the basic, but I got a tad bit ambitious and try to make frosting. I think it would had been successful if I didnt mistook the sugar. It should be very fine or caster sugar. Instead I used fine granulated sugar. So it felt like a  eating amouthful of sugar when i tried the brownies with frosting.

Yeah. That does not looks good. I actually also overbeat it which is why it looks kinda glazed. From all that sugar that refused to be beat by submission by moi. Haha. So I scraped it off and now the brownies looks depressing.

But actually it looks kinda nice and crunchy before I put the dratted frosting tak jadi tu. I still have like half a bowl of frosting and felt macam rugiiinyee all those sugar and cocoa and butter. Takkan nak buang. I memang jenis susah buang barang sikit.

So I turned it into soft cookies. Aku main agak2 je the amount, but I put in 1 egg, 1 tspn of vanilla and beat the frosting again, then fold in a cup of flour and 1 tablespoon of corn flour.

Walla! Dark choc soft cookies. It tasted a little cakey and sweet but other than that it is GREAT. I think I may prefer the cookies more than the brownies. So instead of making frosting, if life or you got yourself a dreadful frosting, you can turn it into cookies! 

Oh the brownies is kinda nice too cuma manis. I should have lessen the sugar lagi sebab mat salleh punye taste ni memang manis gilo. Got the recipe for brownies at Sally's Addiction. But I like texture and all, and it is a very simple recipe to follow, so I may try again later later on. May omit the frosting kut lepas ni sebab macam don't need to sweeten it lagi.

Malam tu pergi Sixty9 Islamic Steakhouse. I think before this it was Wadihana Islamic Steakhouse. Not sure if they changed name or change management.

It was an OK meal lah.

My grilled lamb in black pepper sauce. I like the sauce, Rase if more pekat sikit lagi I suke, but still sedap. 

Husband burger. He felt it is a meh, 

Kids meal which have the grilled boneless chicken and sausages and fries, Aziz suke je.

Since I have no income, so didn't manage to buy him expensive gifts. Beli kemeja je. Sebab I rase kemeja die sikit je. Haha. Susah la nak beli hadiah for guy. (Tapi tahun lepas pon beli kemeja gak hahah. tapi tahun lepas beli 2 kemeja, tahun ni satu je ). Ok lahh tuuu..

Ni tengah pikir ape la lagi nak masak ni. No wonder selalu je I tengok perempuan duk komplen ape nak masak sebab memang susahh pon nak pikir. Haha. Probably something seafood based.

Talking about kitchen

This is how I organized the things in freezer. Put it in individual plastic bags and sometimes I labeled what is what. Senang. Sebab ade certain part ayam sesuai masak certain style je, so buat la label kari ke roast ke, fried ke. Hehe. 

The environmentalist in me really hated that I used plastic but it is the easiest. Sometimes I tried to reuse the plastic, tapi tak selalu la. Sebab leceh. Maybe later on I can be more organized! 

First try failll

Last weekend we tried to potty train Aziz. With dismal results. Kept on asking him if he wants to pee and he said no. Then we kinda got busy and off he went at the living room. At least tak kena karpet. Then tuka seluar and still biarkn die without diapers. Then masa I nak naik atas tengok Saif , nampak Aziz tengah tertonggeng rupanye tengah berak tengah ruang tamu lagi. Bile I cakap suruh gi toilet, die berlari2 dan taik pon bertaburan. :D 

Ah well. Next weekend try lagi. 

Oh we went to Jakel Mall to get kain for baju Melayu . I malas nak beli kain for raya as I have loads of baju biru which is this year theme color at Sarawak side. So save sikit la tahun ni. Though I am not opposed of a jubah. Jakel got a few of nursing jubah but unfortch the mall does not offer alterations. I memang malas la kalau gitu, sebab tak kuasa nak mencari mana nak alter plak lepas ni. 

Then teringin nak try mee tarik pulak just behind Jakel Mall tu. I first ate mee tarik at a food court in Midvalley. I wonder if its still there. 

Anyway I ordered the cold mee because kat Midvalley that is my favorite and husband ordered mee sup that have telo dadar in it. He likes it. I don't really like mine. I think the Midvalley food court punye tu is vastly superior in taste. KENA PEGI LAGI NI NAK COMPARE. 

We also ordered the lambs on toothpick. It looked delicious, but it felt a bit bland and masin to me . Nicer if makan sekali dalam my mee tu I think.

Anyway I bought a new carrier because I want something that is easier to wear. Bought Pognae and loving it so far. I have to say the wrap is more comfortable, however the Pognae carrier is way more easier and less hot to wear. It have a zip that opened up an air mesh for the baby so he wouldn't be so hot. This to me is necessary especially for a hot humid country like ours. 

Bought it at Fabulousmom sebab I have vouchers courtesy of my lovely friends who asked me what I want for a present for this baby, I cakap bagi vouchers je. So I make use of this vouchers and I am happy! Memula I try jugak the ergobaby and boba 4g, but Saif punye melahau.. terus sales assistant tu datang tengok kenapakah. So we try several brands , the Pognae ni he seems to be most comfy. A bit disappointed that they doesn't have Jumpsac because I love Jumpsac masa I last tried it out masa pregnant dulu. Tapi I got these vouchers and I wanna test it out first before buying the carrier. So we settled on the Pognae as while I am not that crazy about the colors, the most important thing is the baby is comfy, so I took that. 

Verdict of the Pognae carrier - Loving it so far. 

Oh on Sunday, alang2 bawak kain to a tailor at Ampang Park,  We ate at Jaya Grocer punye food court El Fresco at Intermark tu. I love my pizza. And husband ordered the steak au gratin which he also liked. And it so very reasonably priced. Aziz pon bantai my pizza 

Pepperoni, though I am more inclined to order Margherita , tapi sebab nak share ngan Aziz amik la pepperoni.

Swim swim swim

We got the swim package for Saif boy. Which include 5 swim sessions. He obviously loves it. Though he did get tired after 20 mins. Lepas tu die macam nak duduk and just stared at the rubber duckie.

Yang ni kite orang amik the package at Wangsa Walk Mall. I like the girls working there. Saif baru pergi sekali. Sekarang ni die macam berhingus pulak. Kena tunggu cleared up baru pergi lagi. I think he would enjoy it more if he is the bigger tub which I think would be ok in his 3rd session there.

OF OLD MOVIES...

Ohh.. I had just getting the hang of recording stuff on Astro. Such an old geezer. My nephew can record cartoons ever since he was 3. Haha. Anyway. Sometimes Astro likes to play cool movies at an ungodly hour of the night. So which is why I recorded Notting Hill and The Breakfast Club. I never watched either if you can believe it.

Notting Hill - OMG no wonder people loves it. Hugh Grant was the sweetest leading guy ever. Gah. So. Bloody. Sweet with the horses and hounds. Though I am still meh about Julia Roberts. She feels very aloof here and actually I don't know what about her that makes him falls in love with her. But nonetheless it was still very sweet and no wonder people my age are always hankering to go to Portobello Road.

The Breakfast Club - So intense. The dialogues and acting was intense for a teen movie. If I were to watch it when I was a teen I would love it to bits so I understand why it was such a hit then.. Molly Ringwald was so pretty here. And of course.... hey hey hey hey.... don't you.. forget about me.

OF ICE CREAM ... 

Could not get enough of ice cream these past few weeks. Maybe because it was so hot. 

Bought a Tim Tam ice cream from Cold Storage. And it was so gooood. I love it because it tasted like dark chocolate and not that sweet. And at RM12 murah la. Which is about the size of Baskin Robbins quart size. 

And last 31st March I beli jugak Baskin Robbins punye quart ice cream mementang it was 31st March. Dah lama rasenye tak makan mint choc chip ice cream. So I got that. Hmmm.. and of course Ampang Point baru bukak Sangkaya. Beli the Signature because I heard so many people raving about it. And memang SEDAP. I like it. I don't like the price but hey.. we can pay as much for Baskin Robbins apa salahnye for something local. I tried the teh tarik ice cream, rase macam makan susu pekat. Huhu. But I think I am gonna try it again, 1 scoop of teh tarik ice cream with 2 scoop of the coconut ice cream.

Ipoh kembali

Last weekend went to Ipoh because my husband's friend is getting married in Gopeng. Since Gopeng tu dekat sangat dah dengan Ipoh I excited la nak ajak die kesana. Sesaja imbas kembali kenangan lama , jalan2 ke UTP, tengok balik bandar Ipoh.

I dont take much pics of the wedding though Aziz had a LOT of fun playing at the yard by himself.  Saif baik je. Tido the whole time even though panassss. One interesting thing about the wedding is ade stall apam balik!

Apam balik die sedap. Ade yang the crunchy apam and there is also the regular one. Even the regular one are very nice. Isi banyak dan nipis just nice.

After the wedding we then checked into the hotel that we booked which is the Ipoh French Hotel.

A new boutique hotel. Located in the middle of town, in front of KFC 24 hours and next to The Store and Cathay lama tu.  Bring back a lot of memories as dulu2, my friends and I always go to the Pizza Hut seberang jalan tu during weekend. Now Pizza Hut ade kat depan Taman Maju ok! And McDonald pon ade. AND Domino's! Basically no need the weekly sojourn to Ipoh which we UTPians tends to do dulu. Pfftt. Jangan kata weekly lagi, rase tengah malam nak gi mamakking at Ipoh pergi je... UTP students now have it good.

Baby not included



I love that tiles. Nak buat macam ni laaa kat bilik air sendiri nanti. Tahun bile tah. 



The room and bathroom. We took the room that have an superking size bed. Sebab nak muatkan 2 muatan lagi atas katil. And it was pretty great we took that bed sebab everyone got their space on bed.

Malam tu we went for dinner at Restoran Simpang Tiga and fuh mencabar betul makan. Dengan Aziz berak tengah dunia kat restoran tu and Saif just won't stop crying, hilang terus selera makan. Dah la tertinggal my pouch yang isi the diapers extra bebudak tu at hotel room, tapi naseb baik Guardian dekat so husband bought all the necessary and bawak tuka Aziz there.

As for the restoran, we ordered sup sayur campur, ikan stim and telur dadar.  It was pretty ok though the fish texture was a bit weird. So it kinda offset also rase ikan tu. Dengan berpeluh paksa Aziz behave and Saif menangis aku pon terus tadek selera sangat nak makan. But I have to say the sup is quite nice. Jus pon menepati cita rase. Not too watery.

Siap pergi Gerbang Malam lagi after dinner which is kinda like Danau Kota punye night market tu. It is like 10 mins walk from the hotel so jalan je. It opened at 9pm pon so kira early la. I think dulu2 bukak kul 10 kut.. Last time we went there as students ade la 15 gerai kut at most. Memang tak happening lah. Now panjang dan sesak!

I put Saif in a wrap and Aziz kena pimpin with my husband. Saif terus tido while on the way there. Ade la beli mende meraban2 you buy at those pasar. Beli Aziz satu toys sebab pasar macam tu kan penuh mainan and still on the way back die throwdown tantrum sebab nak toys lagi and refuse to hold our hands. Menaga la aku at Aziz and I pimpin his hand on the way back and terus die senyap .

Besok pagi tu pegi pulak Pasar Karat.

These are the famed antique pasar of Ipoh dulu. I first went there with other students masa it was still held by the riverside. Lawa dan tenang je jalan dulu. And so many books.

Nowadays tadek sangat dah books. Ade la a few stalls selling antique stuffs but I rase makin berkurangan dari dulu. Stalls yang jual stuffs from Cameron pon tadek sangat. Banyak baju bundle and the usual baju, kids clothes and tudung.

Kali ni we decided to put Saif in a stroller sebab siang panas sangat die nak berwrap bagai dengan mommy die. Can even eat breakfast dengan aman sebab Saif baik je tido.

Afterwards pergi Ipoh Parade sebab my husband knows I always want to take a peek into Novel Hut. Memula cari tak jumpa, ingatkan dah closed ke ape, rupanye moved to another location.

Before there was BBW sales, this is my go to place during student days for cheap books.

Catch of that day so to speaks.

Mula2 ingatkan nak cari makan area Batu Gajah ke area UTP ke tapi dah kul 12.30 dan Aziz dah start lapor. Tengok orang kat food court beli sizzling mee macam sedap je, kami pon beli gak.

It was ok lah. Quite nice jugak la. Tak sesedap kat food court Kinta City dulu, tapi I known from previous experience yang the mee there no longer sedap cam dulu so tak kuasa nak pergi there.

Went to UTP! Last time masuk after graduate dengan kawan2. We went to see the cafe and stuffs. And round tengok blok2 asrama we used to stay in. Cant believe it had been that long. Sobs.

My room in V4. Masa memula masuk we are the first ones yang rasmikan these rooms and we were so excited because it was so pretty then. Dulu tadek shed untuk basikal tu .

Now tak masuk pon cafe and all. Malas pulak nak punggah anak2. Just pergi to the dewan canselor to take pics because our dewan and library is pretty awesome k.

 

 

 

 

We then headed to Teluk Batik and kinda like a waste of time jugak because

1. Aziz takut laut and last2 main bubble je there

2. I hated the beach unless it is really clean like Redang.

 

Masa kat Teluk Batik pon ade this kakak tanye nak beli kerepek ke tak. I tanye satu je and she suruh beli 3. I wonder why la these people yang jual2 these stuffs ni mesti nak push kite beli in bulks. I cakap la I dont have RM10 on me, tapi I nak kerepek die jual tu jugak. So I bukak dompet ade la dalam RM5 je and to my surprise kakak tu pon datang next to me and tengok inside my wallet. I macam surprise gak la. Die macam RM5 pon bole la and bagi I 2 pek kerepek and took that RM5 before I can say anything. Huh. Honestly I think this is the last time la I beli from these type of people. Tadek adab dalam menjual!

 

Anyway we let Aziz main in the playground to his delight. He doesnt care about the sea. All he wants are gelungsur.. Teluk Batik also had changed the last time we went there. There are now boats with banana boats and it is kinda scary to see all these boats so near dengan bebudak mandi kat laut. I don't think I am the only one who disapproved. Ade awek kat situ dating dengan boyfriend die pon I can heard expressing the same views. They had put a lot of shop lots which a lot of em are vacant too. And a sad derelict looking museum. And a nice playground though.It is kinda sad la. If they let it be and just make it simple, benches, playground, good path to jog pon dah OK. No need to over commercialized a recreation place.

 

 

Malam tu saje nak gatal try one of these hipster cafe mushrooming like crazy all over Malaysia. So I chose Gomok cafe yang dekat je dengan our hotel. Bawak stroller sebab nak kasik Saif tido. This time he behaved and slept the whole meals through.

Saif tengok syok isap jari. Which is what he likes to do nowadays. Kecik je cafe ni. Macam half a kedai je, and I can't be arsed to stand up to take pic of the whole kedai pon. Ramai pon malam tu. Ade 2 sets of family gathering there.

I ordered the Philly cheese steak which was pretty good. Nampak cam kecik tapi bile tiba last bite tu dah kenyang menggila. So not bad jugak la. Husband punye is nasi goreng with tomyam and ayam rendang. His nasi goreng is delicious. Ayam rendang tu husband suke, I am not a fan of rendang so I guess it must be ok.

My favorite part is the drink. Delicious. My green tea is sedap though if I realized it came with bubble tu , I had requested it away, I tak suke bubble hitam tu. My husband ordered some sort of raspberry yogurt with this nice pop bubble. Seriously sedap. We had half a mind to order second round of drinks but we already have 2 cendols waiting for us in the hotel fridge and there are people waiting outside the cafe for tables. So mintak bill je la. And the price of the drink is very reasonable at RM3.50 for my drink. Kalau KL cafe2 macam ni mesti air RM8. Menyampah betul order air kat cafe in KL ni.

 

Oklah. I had not updated blog posts this long since forever.  Naseb baik takyak masak arie ni so boleh curik time update pasal last weekend.

Been a while

I dont have any blogging energy at the moment. So many things to write. So malas to write. And how is it possible being no work, the housework still seems endless and neverending.

Not helping that Saif is really demanding milk nowadays. Dulu I usually susukan die dalam 10 mins gitu je. But now it can take half an hour or even an hour. So the day just passed by. In the mean time, the house gets dustier, the craps getting nowhere moved and I just barely manage to wash dishes and do laundry the most.

Anyway.. I was in JB during the week before CNY, saje kekonon nak enjoicing, but was not to be because Saif was sick and his cough was getting so bad that I was getting real worried. He had a mild bronchitis anyway. Then I got sick, where I was feverish for about 3 days and sampai sekarang I still have a mild asthma and cough which I cant get rid of because I am really particular of what medicine I take when I am breastfeeding. Sigh.

So that is all the complaining aside.

Saif can now roll over! Sooner than his abang. I remembered Aziz can roll over when he was 4 months lebih. Tapi he got bibik at the time, and all the time being carried, baby akan lambat sikit nak usaha.

So nowadays that is all he wants to do. Letak atas katil and he will roll over and tengok kiri kanan sampai penat dan nangis because he can't roll back to his back again. But he got the knack of it now that if he is tired he can lie his head down, so less crying when rolling over.

Muka gelak2 bile people talk to him. He is a talker. He absolutely loves it when people talk to him and he will try to coo back. Already can see the difference in personality dari abang die!

As for Aziz.. hows the playschool. I can't say what is the difference made to him, but he does seems more talkative nowadays. He love the school and I love that they have sports day and swim days so he have some exercise which he normally don't get with me.

Routine die adalah balik sekolah, tuka baju and all, tengok Big Hero 6, minum susu dan nap. Then woke up cranky because I think he took it after me, where I hated nap too. My sister said when I was little I absolutely dont sleep during the day but just roam around the house like a destructive little beast.

My days got busy for a while because I have my mom in town and my sisters taken leave for medical reasons so they got some free time to go out during the day to bring mom out. Gi IKEA la. Wangsa Walk la. And few days back pegi Tim's Terrace with my sisters and mom for some coffee, cakes and savouries.

When we entered the shop this is the array of goodness that greeted us.

We ordered baked mac and cheese, shepherd pie, chicken pie, nutella chocolate cake, salted chocolate cake, lemon curd and lemon cake.

I don't take the picture of the whole lot of the things we ordered only this.. because I usually start to eat those food I ordered before remembering taking pic of them.

My lemon cake and green tea latte and my sis caffe latte. 

All the other cakes were quite good and the highlight of the things we ordered, is the baked mac and cheese because it was very good and unexpected in its spiciness. Not something you would order for your child, but for yourself it is a very sinful meal. The only thing I found lacking is the size of the cakes and one of the cake we ordered I felt like it had been baked 3 days ago, which I don't particularly enjoiced. If it was so, cakes that was days ago should really be half price lor. 

But the coffee was great and I love my green tea latte. Will consider coming back here because it is so near, but only with friends or family and not with little Aziz running around. Oh he was not here anyway, I sent him playing with his cousins. I do bought a nutella cheesecake for him to compensate him not accompanying me. Haha. Lagi best die main dengan cousins die lagi pon. 

Baru start keje tapi dah penat

Just got back from gynae appointment. Since the doctor had an emergency kena tunggu close to 2 hours, baru I get to meet her . Fuhh. Naseb baik keje start lewat, kalau tak aku tak keruan dah. It is not a usual occurence though so I am not mad. I can see my gynae went out and into her room saying "please inform I need to go to the labour room now". After all most of the time, here in PCMC we will be attended by our gynae if we go into labour. Tak tahu la pulak if nak beranak time tu jugak in the middle of the night. Haha. 

Anyway am in my 34 weeks now and the checkup went fine. Baby now weigh around 2.2 kg. Naik ful 1 kg dari last visit 3 weeks ago. Amboi sangat. Patut pon mak die time hujan2 ni pon peluh. I sometimes woke up in the middle of the night and felt my inner thigh is wet. Setiap kali tu cuak ingatkan my water tetiba break ke... tapi rupanye sweating jeeee. Haha. 

Doctor bising sikit sebab my hemoglobin and iron level dah low balik. Mampos padah tak makin pil hari2. So pasnih kena makan lagi hari2. Dapat extra pill lagi. Sheeshhh. 

Anyway, last week I decided tu tanye my mom how to make her pudding prune tu. At the time I was in Giant dan ingatkan nak beli la ingredients tu, tapi my mom dashed my cita2 since only a few specific brand of tepung jagung will do. Takleh pakai sebarang haippp! Nanti die jadi clumpy. I asked my brand she said ... the last time she can found it is in Jusco and she can't remembered the brand but she said it does have gambar jagung in front. I don't think my mom realised almost all of tepung jagung have picture of corn on their packaging. Haha. Tapi then few days back I went to Jusco and I found the brand my Mom mentioned. I kinda remembered seeing this brand in the house in JB usually, so I think this must be it. Try la buat. Aziz suke! Good dessert for kids because it is just milk pudding with prune syrup. Aku guna prune in a can je. Sape nak rajin nak buat prune syrup from scratch boleh aje. Just google recipe for milk pudding (though refrain the sugar or just put only a tiny bit because you are adding in something manis with syrup) and then you just add in prune syrup. Nanti nak buat with custard lak. Yang I buat ni milk pudding tu macam lembik sikit, kena betulkan sikit la die punye sukatan. 

Last weekend gak we went to Pavilion sebab kekonon nak gi Turkish fair. Padan tak google before sesuke hati pergi rupanye Turkish fair tu time weekdays. Poooohhh. Siapa pergi fair fair ni time weekdays ni wehhh. I don't really care to walk around in Pavilion because it is just an array of stuffs that I can't afford, tapi I am delighted that at last Fish & Co ade kat situ. Dulu ade kat OU je kan. Ade lagi rasenye outlet die kan , kan tempat lain. Suke sebab kids eat for free dan die sediakan activity punye paper and coloring pencil for kids. 

Dan topi shark untuk Aziz. Aziz suke. The food was good and not too expensive, so yeay. 

Sebab I dont want that I only went to Pavilion sekadar makan je, I suggested to husband kita try bawak Aziz tengok wayang. Haha. Alang2 ade cerita Book of Life ( boring, Aziz tak tengok pon... ) . Beli popcorn ngan air and bought tiket wayang yang duduk tepi sekali. Naseb baik row depan tu tadek orang sebab budak kecik ni duk panjant turun kerusi , bergayut kat kerusi depan, baling sisa popcorn kat seat depan. Naseb baikkkk 2 row depan kosong. Kalau ade orang I dah keluar dah wayang. Tapi boleh la bertahan sampai habis. He don't make much noise. Sekali sekala menjerit suke and sekali je die nangis sebab popcorn habes. . Hahaha. Tapi tu kejab je, cepat2 I distract die dengan air and sembunyi bekas popcorn yang dah empty tu. Anyway a lot of kids around since tu cerita kartun and most of the kids are very well behaved pon, I think I only noticed Aziz je kut who makes noises two and three times.

Nak bawak lagi tengok wayang? 2 tahun lagi kutttt. Haha. Atau bapak die bawak, sebab nanti mesti la mak die kena duk jaga baby.
