Oscars thoughts churned out loud

Because the Oscars had just passed by so am feeling a bit excited. A little bit about the Oscars.

The awards ceremony

Missed the NPH opening songs, which is a shame!

It was a WTF-had-happened moment, when the Best Documentary Short speech was "Kanye West" (everyone seems to be calling it that). It was incredibly funny seeing the guy standing there with a look like " I would strangle this woman but I'm on TV" and the woman continue to yammer on.

I like that "Paranormal Activity" spoof. I think it was hilarious.

While it was certainly nice to see the horror montage, I questioned why Jaws, Silence of the Lambs and Edward Scissorhands are thrown in the mix. And Twilight is not a horror movie!!! Calling it a supernatural love story is more appropriate. I most certainly love seeing The Blob montage. That movie was awesomely B-movieish. As also The Slugs. And The Hand. Which comes to another point, that I am most certainly ANTICIPATING the new Freddy Krueger movie.

I covet that woman who won Costume Design award, look. I love, love, love her hat/headpiece. I think its a hat. But on second thought it maybe a headpiece because it seems so stuck to her hair? But I love it anyway Ok. Its a shiny beret and its awesome! .

While I do reasonably like Barbara Streisand, I hate her last night when she presents the Best Director .. "for the first time ever...it could be a woman, it could be a African-American", so the other people don't matter?

Up is deserving of its Best Original Score. Whenever I heard that song, I feel like ballroom dancing, even though I don't know how.

The fashion.

People may hate on Zoe Saldana dress. But I. LOVE. IT. I wish there were more fluffy balls of pouffi-ness around her dress! I would totally wear that going up and down the stairs 30 times just to see it bounce around me. AND THAT WOULD TOTALLY MAKE A GOOD WORKOUT REGIME!

The trends on a strapless dress is really making me weary. Especially for wedding dresses. Most wedding dresses that I seen in blogs and weddings (western style I meant) always push for strapless. And some of the women choosing to wear this strapless dress, their breasts looks sad and droopy (yes, I can call it because it does seems to look that way). An example of an Oscar strapless dress that is a a bit ugh

Not that it is terrible, it just seems unsuitable for her.

And I kinda am digging Diane Kruger ruffles and chiffon dress..

The movies itself.

I usually watch the movies after the award itself. But the only movies I really want to watch are The Hurt Locker, An Education and Up In The Air. So tengok la bile I got the chance.

Up in the Air - George Clooney is overrated. He is good as usual but I don't think he deserve the nomination. But the movie as a whole is good though. I kinda like Jason Reitman directing style.

Invictus - Is also good. Because of Morgan Freeman of course, and definitely not because of Matt Damon. And Clint Eastwood did a pretty good job as a director since it is hard to direct a sports movie. (aku baca somewhere)

Avatar - ahh ko pun sure dh tgk kan. Awesome graphics.
just watch up in the airfor the quitability

they also used actualy people who were laid off in the first 5 minutes

after knowing that fact i felt bad for the black uncle that cried after he was sacked

i dunno why people so against clooney nomination. he is awesome in this movie! oh and i love Vera Farmiga ever since The Orphan. i think she is very cougar!

hurt locker?

i like it but best picture? you taking a piss ke oscar? clearly a political move to give Katryn Bigelow win on World Women's Day

piss off!

at least give it to Quention. Basterds was the best last yeat imo. dunno about crazy heart. that movie never reached our shores. An eduacation pulak kena ban due to sex scenes! BAH!

Aku tak teringin nak tengok Invictus because tak interested nak tengok cite Nelson Mandela. Kalo buat cite pasal Aung San Suu Kyi, mungkin aku akan tengok. Hehehe.

I suspect the awards member tak nak tengok James Cameron said "I see this Oscars" when he won the Best Picture, macam line " I'm the King of the World".

The Golden Globes acceptance speech was nauseating enough.

Hahha. I like it because the bottom is so weird and different and FLOUNCY! I honestly think that it can also be improved hugely with more pom-poms like flounce. Hah! Mungkin taste aku agak keanak-anakkan kut.

I have issues with the waist though.

CNY trips like many other before me

So, I had finally made it to Cameron Highlands after 17 years last I had step there. Nothing to say much here because I am sure many of you had gone there and know your way and experience more than me. As I make the trip , reached there morning and going back late afternoon. Before even reaching Cameron I needed to make scenic stops to go to the restrooms.  Above picture 1: Ridiculously 3 cute same colored cats whom were mewing quite loudly and is just so cute I wish I can adopt them all. Above picture 2: A lovely sungai that make me wish I can dip in tapi tak sempat sebab nak gi Cameron.  Above picture 3: A ridiculously lovely view from my toilet stall. I doubt there is a more scenic views in a toilet stall anywhere else.  We reached Cameron at 10 am, after departing from KL close to 6 am. Massive jam ok. Memula rase nak patah balik je. Tayar bas tercabut, jam. Kete rusak, jam. Kete kena saman polis, jam. So we didn't make it in time to my husband's favorite br...

New arrival

I have delivered a healthy baby boy! Currently am dealing with all the new stuffs associated with new mother, breastfeeding woes, sleepless night, murderous tendencies at 3am towards little one. So a bit late in updating. In short, I gave birth to this little bundle of cuteness at 5.37pm on the 3rd of August 2012 on my 38th weeks. Unexpected ( somewhat ) delivery ni, as I have to be induced and later gave birth to him via c-section. EDD 14th Aug, and sepatutnye also I was suppose to be induce today instead last week, tapi mende nak jadi. As long as semua selamat. Anyhow will update more later. In cat news, Bobby kena stay at the vet due to lung infection. :( Sedihhh. Hope he gets better soon. Tak tahu how it happened, but it does and hope kucing lain tak kena.
