The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aged 13 3/4 by Sue Townsend
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I first read Adrian Mole, when the character is in his 40s I think. While it is amusing, I don't really get what the fuss is all about.
When I read this book, then I understand. I need to start at the very beginning to really understand how awesomely weird Adrian Mole is. He understand that he is kind of fucked up, but he never (nor will he ever) really understand how truly fucked up he really is.
I love that the book can make me LOL in the middle of the night. It is truly amusing and funny, and even though he is incredibly annoying to all, you can't help but feel that he is actually really kind and just lovable to readers.
This is definitely one of the book I won't hesitate to pick up again.
