Just Quote: In Good Humour

Beg Kecil Ini

Beg kecil ini kuharap dapat tunjukkan,
Yang ia tidak sia-sia dikait,
Kerna, Jika kamu mahukan sesuatu,
Ia akan memberi ape yang kamu inginkan,
Dan memandangkan kita akan berpisah,
Ia akan memberi makna yang lain,
Kerna, Tatkala kamu terlihat beg ini,
Kamu akan terkenang rakanmu ini.

Ms D : Tada! Puitis tak? Hahaha.

Mob 1: *faint mumblings of protestation"

Ms D : What? What do you mean it is written by Jane Austen. I tak penah dengar pon Jane Austen.

Mob 1: * stronger rumblings of protest heard*

Ms D : Arrrr... yeah.. I did a lengthy post regarding Jane Austen a while back. Must had slipped my mind. Tapi die tulis novel je ok. She write no bleedin poems.

Mob 1 & Mob 2: *protests and pickets and letter of complaints flying everywhere*

Ms D : .........

Mob 1 & Mob 2 & Mob 3: * Are ready with armory of stones, Malaysian reporters and small time lawyers*

Ms D : Fine, fine.. * Fake grin with a set of gleaming white teeth shining*

Inspired by here, here (this is hilarious) and most certainly credited to the below.

This Little Bag by Jane Austen

This little bag I hope will prove
To be not vainly made--
For, if you should a needle want
It will afford you aid.
And as we are about to part
T'will serve another end,
For when you look upon the Bag
You'll recollect your friend

p/s: The translation is horrible. My translation I meant. Anyone can enlighten me what does this mean? ---> "For, if you should a needle want"

Edited on 19th Jan 08: So.. people are calling this "pulling a natasha" or "do the hudson". Very tongue in cheek I suppose.

hoping that MELODI would address the issue and interview her and hear what would be her respons towards it on national TV. But doubt that local media would ever bother on this thing...
wow

plagiarism.....i duno what to say. i mean. too many cross linking between blogs to read. but from what i've read it a very bad case of direct translation

let me do mine

ros jika dipanggil dengan nama lain masih lagi berbau seperti ros

Babe,

For, if you should a needle want
It will afford you aid.

Needle ni jarum kan? So kalau ambil direct translation mungkin beg ni beg menjahit.

Jarum could also be seen a tool to heal. Jarum jahit luka berdarah.

But me thinks your translation is good. I didn't even know Jane Austen wrote poems.

But so love your parody of the Mob thing. Kawaai!

Tak penah2 in my whole life I am anticipating for melodi, tengok last wiken. And there's nothing bloody there.

Lantak la. Tengok je la if any reporters have any balls to make this an issue while she makin kaya hasil plagiarism ( dgr buku2 die laris ok..)

effi:
Direct translation of a poem. hehe... macam mana la kan nak direct translate poem for people to understand it coherently.

Jannah:
I think so, prolly it meant in general for things that are useful kut.

She wrote poems for fun I believe, as so you can see there's nothing remarkable about it. But some of her poems are rather fun and witty.

Hahahaa...at least Julie Dahlan was sincere and honest in her translation. I'm sure Hudson's blood pressure has gone upstairs by now...dah la kena tangkap basah dgn ex-mom in-law..bimbo bombastic betul!!

Aini and Zaki's Wedding

Promised the girls that we will attend Aini's wedding at Melaka on last Saturday, but at the last minute I changed the plan to go to Zaki's side of the wedding instead at Air Molek yesterday since on the same day there was also another kenduri potong jambul at my brother in law's kampung at Rembau. We manage to reach there around 15 mins after 1pm just before the pengantin berarak. Nice timing indeed. So alang-alang2 tu aku join je belakang rombongan pengantin masuk while my husband duk ambik-ambik gamba. Anyway the food was yummeh (sambal sotong!!! My Fav!) and the wedding is really traditional-like with gamelan music and silat. Aini looks really prettyyy and Zaki's sooo happy and jovial-like. Selamat Pengantin Baru to Aini and Zaki. The pic above is from my husband camera taken by tah sape and I will upload most of the remaining gambar kenduri in Facebook, sooner or later. Gamba kat Rembau tu, tanya Shamani die nak upload kat mana as the pics are at his camera too

Raw

Why does my heart cried Feelings I can't fight You betrayed me But just don't deceived me And please believe me when I say I love you [From the movie Moulin Rouge] And why didnt he? He's playing hot and cold.. hot and cold with me. I can't stand it. Yet I always come back for more. I am a true blue masochist. I don't even ask him to love me. I just ask him to miss me. And he couldnt even do that.. or say it. I just want to see his face once more. To see his lovely smiles, his small laugh. Why couldn't I forget him. When he could so easily dismissed me.. he could just easily come back and messed my sense and sensibility. While my tears fall down to my keyboard, yet at the same time I was making jokes and soothing him telling him "no worries". I don't ask for much... a smile, a pat on the hand. I miss him so much. Yet I am so afraid to let it shows. Becoz then if I show it... it will hurt 10 times more.
