As per usual , I will update my books buying habit here so I can track my books. Its easier to see this online. Maybe I should seriously consider an excel spreadsheet. Eh malas la.  This time due to Covid, Big Bad Wolf Book Sale held their sale online instead. It was a bit of a disaster on the first few days tbh. The site was unstable with payment not going through and books list not updated appropriately. I am sure their IT Team was going through hellish week that week.  Anyway I manage to buy some books mostly for the kids and a bit for me on the third day of the sale. I also bought a few more books by the end of the week mostly on school exercises book because those were cheaps.  So below pics! My friend informed me there was MPH clearance sale going on at Balakong. Interest piqued because the books are priced from RM1 so my husband ok je bawak sefamili there. I think people had been buying in bulks because there were barely any nice books there when I reached last Saturday afternoon. Mainly lot of school workbooks and puzzles book priced at RM1. Story books around RM2-4 (still cheap) and some popular books at 80% off. Bolehlah. Stationery murah like files and gam also placed. Some of the books bought . Some of the kids haul.  The kids bising there is no coloring books since they want some. We manage to find some after some digging but ade satu or dua je sesuai.  Boleh la tu.  Anyway yesterday also jalan2 di Linc saje nak tengok tempat orang have-have makan.  It is a very instagram friendly place I guess, and penuh dengan tempat makan yang boleh makan once or twice a year je.  The kids love the pretty place....

So I got the preview pass to this year BBW and decided on the preview day to not bring the kids. Which is a good decision. I can easily browse for my books without worrying or attending fussy kids.  There were a lot of people in the preview day, but it was ok lah. I found it disappointing that adult books gotten a whole lot lesser year by year. I also found out that the Vivo Popular Warehouse Sale was held end of last Nov , I had missed those. Bummer. That book warehouse sale have a whole lot more books for adult, more current and interesting choices. Need to make sure I didn't miss it next year then.  On the preview day manage to snag this.  Pompeii sticker book tu untuk aku. LOL. The kids like my choices. BBW is coming soon. I think I scored the preview pass, and will need to take the preview pass first at BookXcess. The annoying thing is , it is kinda hard to drive to the nearest BookXcess with 3 kids in tow. We'll see.  Also, I think I didn't put up the last 2 sales? Because I was busy and also another time I was too out of it from morning sickness.  Like I said before I like putting up here books I had bought so I can always refer which I haven't read yet. You might think it is impossible to not remember which book you had read, but my bird brain can't retain too much info it seems as I had twice read a book about 20 to 30 pages before noticing this seems very familiar.  I think this I bought last year? Cant remember this one. Probably masa I was very into my morning sickness. Anyway the latest book I had read is the Billion Dollar Whale. It was very straightforward. Can't read it too long because it is enraging how greedy some people are....

This year instead of the BBW sale, I much more antcipated this Popular Warehouse Sale because it is cheaper. RM5 instead of RM8 the usual in BBW . Like the previous year it was held in Vivo Home Shopping Mall .  Went there on Thursday night, spent about an hour. Dont get to browse much because I was tired . And the rows of books are like these.  The Popular Warehouse Sale do not have such a wide range of bestsellers normally seen at BBW, but maybe I don't really have the time to dig through. However one thing I like about the Popular Warehouse sale, there is some pretty good stationery and some toys.  Was thrilled to find the lapdesk, which is around RM24 I think, because I was looking for something similar since I am now using my husband old Surface and the Surface needs a pretty sturdy flat surface for me to use it properly with a keyboard, bought some toys for the kids. "but you said you don't want to go because you had shopped a lot during the viva popular sale".  But the books beckoned, and hence I came.  This year I do not get a preview pass because simply I never try to win any. Huhu. I had foreseen I dont think so I can take leave for the preview pass. And I felt during my last preview pass shopping, macam.. eh.. no big deal lah.  So I told my husband I feel like going because Aziz is sleeping at my sister house so we only have 1 child that keep us distracted. So by 7.30 am I had changed and bathed Saif jugak sebab die poo poo so nak taknak, mandikan terus. Sampai at MIECC around 8 am, and we found out Saif pooped again. Yessh. I am always thrilled to be in a book warehouse sales. As you all should know by now.  Also I am not too thrilled about the Big Bad Wolf Sales nowadays because of the crowd. And their promotions. Someone mentioned that people are almost killing themselves in order to win the passes to get to the preview sales and they don't win any prizes either. True. Throw those people a bone la at least.  On the other hand, they are geniuses in not having to do much for promotion because the fans who hope to get the passes will do it for them.  Hehe. While I was one of em, but last year, I went for the preview passes and the crowd is just as maddening if I go to other days, so this year I macam malas beria to win the passes.  Anyway, not dissing the BBW because I want to talk about the Popular Book Warehouse sales. A while ago I tried Book Depository to buy some books that I am unable to find here. Actually I was so charmed watching Austenland ( if its in Astro, watch it because it is a charming chick lit), I felt like I have to get the novel too which is written by Shannon Hale btw . The cheapest option then was buying it from Book Depository and alang2 buying books online of course it have to be more than 1. Save duit parking and tol and minyak also!  Anyway.. the other book that I bought is Libba Bray Gemma Doyle trilogy. Felt like, maybe I should buy one first to see if I like it. Then bought it later on. Also only the first book have discount. Hehe.  Anyway, I read the first book and love it ( though it have its weaknesses), and bile time I nak beli the other 2 books, book depository still do not offer any discounts for these 2 book sequels.
