The above is a line in a lyrics to one of Devic's song.
So I was listening in to the Mix FM breakfast club thingies this morning, and one of their show nowadays featured a segment on lie detection test.
You nominate who's the one you want to put in the hot seat and stand a chance to win RM1000.
I don't know if this is only a gimmick or if real live person would really want to know the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, figured out by some machines and broadcast in radio. The past participants was kinda fun. Questions on beauty and model related thingies (By Amber Chia) or by driving related questions ( a fun pair of father and son). But today participants is kinda painful to hear. And it is the truth universally acknowledged, that absolute truth is painful. Or is it a single man in possession of good fortune is in want of wife?
Basically, a woman came and put her husband's secretary on the hot seat to participate in this lie detector test. The wife suspected the husband is having a hanky panky around. First of all, if I am this secretary I would flat out refused. But she agreed to reasons unknown, so the lines of questioning goes like
" How long you are working with this person?"
" Do you spent many hours non-working hours talking with your boss about non-related work thingies?"
" Do you talk about his marriages?"
It then came to a point where the wife had almost accuse the secretary of an affair with her husband, but the test prove(?) the secretary is not the one her husband spent all the gifts and away time together. And the wife goes like "Ha! I know its not you..." I have to laugh at that. When it came to THE question if the husband indeed is having an affair and if the husband is currently on holiday with his mistress, the wife is now in tears and saying she don't know if she wants to know the truth. (The secretary meanwhile pleaded the wife to not ask anymore as she might lose her job, which I quite sympathize with too)
Pietro cut this fun time and saying that they would need to have a discussion with the wife and secretary as this lie detection test segment for today obviously took an unpleasant turn. I also did not listen further as I need to get out of the car and get my ass off to work.
So anyone listening to this too? Anyone know what happened next?
First of all, I am intrigued of anyone wanting to put themselves or anyone else on the hot seat for this lie detection test. I would not want to tell the truth nor hear anyone tell anything and it being broadcasted for the whole Malaysians to hear. And if it were me, you would need to drag my bloodied corpse onto that hot seat. That's the only way you can get me there. (Now, don't get any ideas okeh).
And of course why would you want to ask someone on national radio to hear the thing that may break your heart? And if you do not want to hear it, why would you subject yourself to this? And does the radio station decide to air this segment because they know it is juicy and set people like me talking in their blog or they really are surprised by this turn of event? It just doesn't make sense to me.
Also, would you put yourself on the hot seat to win yourself a RM1000? Would the truth be worth it? I don't know.
p/s: Oh, also all the names that were used during this segment is not their real name to protect their identity.
p/s: And where is Ika eh nowadays. I noticed that she is not on for a while, thought was on leave.*shrugs*

Huhu... But yeah.. reality TV is really an ugly segment of entertainment. Which is why I love ANTM. Haha. But seriously I couldn't be bothered with any reality show if I have a great series in my disc.
And that kinda show is just painful. The husband looked like he is placating her? Bitch. And the ex bf part is priceless. How the hell the producer know who to call?
